The thirteenth round of matches in the Northern Premier League 2024 season saw the weather once again decimate the fixtures with only one game being played to a finnish.
Netherfield beat Kendal in their local derby and moved up to second in the table.
The game with the top two Fleetwood v Leyland was washed out after only seventeen overs, The match at the bottom saw Euxton make a big score of 261-6 against St Annes but did not get back onto the field.
Chorley were 169-6 when play ended after 37.3 overs, Blackpool were 91-5 off 26 in their game.
Mawdesley made 188-6 in 45 overs but in reply Fulwood & Broughton were 20-0 in the 2.2 overs faced when the match was stopped.
DIVISION ONE:
Chorley v Settle
Settle won the toss at Windsor Park and invited the hosts to bat first, The opening stand was going well when they both were out, Will Moulton was first out caught by John Davidson off Lloyd Smith for 23 (35 balls), 38-1 one run later Miller Childs was caught by Lewis Smith off Tom Davidson for 9 (32 balls), 39-2.
The two new batsmen were Harry Barclay and Marques Ackerman. Lloyd Smith claimed his second victim Marques Ackerman caught behind by Robbie Davidson for 14 (14 balls), 63-3, Zayn Wadiwala came in next and with Barclay were going well until they both fell on the same score, William Davidson had Harry Barclay caught by John Davidson for 26 (55 balls), 125-4. Zayn Wadiwala followed bowled by Amar Ullah 36 (43 balls), 125-5.
Edwin Moulton and Ben Simpkins replaced the outgoing batsmen, Amar Ullah struck bowling Edwin Moulton for 4 (27 balls), 139-6, Joseph Tiffin 13no (7 balls) and Ben Simpkins 24no (16 balls) were at the crease when play was stopped with Chorley 169-6 in 169.3 overs.
The Settle bowling was Lloyd Smith 2-30 from 10 overs, Amar Ullah 2-31 off 8, William Davidson 1-36 from 6, Tom Davidson 1-39 off 9.3, Lewis Smith 0-5 from 1 and Jurie Snyman 0-21 off 3.
The was no further play and the match was abandoned
Euxton v St Annes
St Annes won the toss at Balshaw Park and asked the hosts to take first knock, Ben Houghton and Aneeq Hassan gave the hosts a good start with 45 on the board when Aneeq Hassan fell lbw to Lukman Vahaluwala for 27 (24 balls). 45-1.
James Bone came to the wicket and continued the run a ball scoring rate, Their partnership ended with James Bone stumped by James Bradley off Joe Hayton for 47 (44 balls), 148-2.
Sam Sweeney replaced Bone and carried on the run rate, Ben Houghton was the next man out caught and bowled by Joe Davies for 69 (66 balls), 168-3, Zane Gilder joined Sweeney and batted at a more sedate pace, Joe Hayton claimed his second wicket Sam Sweeney caught by Josh Taylor for 28 (33 balls), 182-4.
Jack Shovelton was next in and with Gider took the score past the two hundred, He was out caught by Joe Hayton off Joe Davies for 19 (17 balls), 211-5.
Zane Gilder's careful innings came to an end lbw to Lukman Vahaluwala for 21 (62 balls), 226-6, Zane Nirodi 27no (33 balls) and Max Harper 16no (23 balls) saw the hosts close on 262-6 in their 50 overs
For St Annes Lukman Vahaluwala took 2-44 from 10 overs, Joe Hayton 2-47 off 15, Joe Davies 2-48 from 10, Yohan De Silva 0-15 off 4, Nathan Bolus 0-27 from 3, Ashen Daluwattage 0-29 off 4 and Mitch Bolus 0-46 from 4

Fleetwood v Leyland
Fleetwood won the toss at Broadwater and put the visitors into bat, Declan Clerkin made the breakthrough having James Critchley caught by Tomas King for 11 (17 balls), 29-1.
Zak Willox 18no (42 balls) joined Karl Cross 31no (47 balls) and they were on 69-1 in 17 overs when the weather intervened and there was no further play.
Fulwood & Broughton v Mawdesley
Fulwood & Broughton won the toss at the Highfield ground and invited the visitors to bat first, Mawdesley got off to a disastrous start losing both openers quickly, Ffyfe Dennis went first caught by Dom Jackson off Khalil Patel for 0 (3 balls), 1-1, next over Daniel Unsworth was bowled by Jon Fenton for 0 (2 balls), 1-2.
Christopher Andrews and Dominic Hendricks had the task of rebuilding the innings and that is what they did with a partnership of 134 broken when Christopher Andrews was run out by James McWilliam for 57 (108 balls), 136-3, shortly afterwards Dominic Hendricks followed caught by James Lupton off Jon Fenton for 70 (109 balls), 147-4
Lee Berrie came in next, Khalil Patel claimed his second wicket new batsman Jon Stone caught by Ewen Mansford for 3 (8 balls), 147-6, Nathan Trengrove joined Berrie but was run out by Khalil Patel for 4 (8 balls), 156-6.
Lee Berrie 17no (17 balls) and his new partner Lewis McKinnon 15no (15 balls) saw the visitors close on 188-6 in 45 overs.
The Fulwood & Broughton bowling was Jon Fenton 2-42 from 14 overs, Khalil Patel 2-51 off 14, Chris Brookes 0-16 from 5, Brendan Morris 0-17 off 4, James Lupton 0-20 from 4,and Dom Jackson 0-23 off 4.
The hosts reply lasted only 2.2 overs with the score on 20-0 when the weather intervened with Matt Smith 4no (7 balls) and Ewen Mansford 10no (7 balls)
The bowlers Joshua Unsworth 1.2 overs for 6 and Joshua Adamson 0-13 off 1.
Garstang v Blackpool
Garstang won the toss at the Riverside Sports ground and put Blackpool into bat, The visitors got off to a bad start losing Rishit Sharma run out by Hugo Croft for 6 (11 balls), 10-1.
The Blackpool number three was Shivam Chaudhary and with Dixon they were keeping the scoreboard ticking over until Daniel Dixon was caught behind by Matthew Crowther off Ian Walling for 23 (52 balls), 64-2.
Andrew Needham replaced Dixon but was soon out lbw to Tom Higson for 3 (12 balls), 73-3. Jake Muncaster was next in but disaster for the visitors two wickets fell on 89, Muncaster was caught by Imran Butt off Tom Higson for 5 (16 balls), 89-4, Shivam Chaudhary was caught behind by Matthew Crowther off Michael Walling for 48 (50 balls), 89-5.
Ben Howarth was 1no (9 balls) and Harry Birkman 1no (6 balls) when the game was brought to a close with Blackpool on 91-5 in 26 overs.

Kendal v Netherfield
Kendal won the toss at Shap Road and asked the visitors to bat first, Josh Dixon and Reece Irving gave them a good start broken by Freddie Fallows having Josh Dixon caught by Max Winskill for 21 (55 balls), 44-1.
Ben Barrow joined Irving and they had doubled the score when Chris Miller caught and bowled Ben Barrow for 30 (48 balls), 89-2, John Huck replaced Barrow but quickly lost his partner Reece Irving bowled by Chris Miller for 35 (69 balls), 90-3.
The new man in was Riley Vernon who was soon out caught by Max Winskill off Freddie Fallows for 5 (15 balls), 107-4, Will Beeden came in supporting John Huck but he was out caught by Sam Sharp off Chris Miller for 7 (23 balls), 127-5.
Louis Backhouse soon accounted for new man Lewis Edge caught bejhind for 0 (3 balls), John Huck 63no (72 balls) controlled the rest of the innings with Oli Wileman 2no (6 balls) Netherfield closed on 176-6 in 48 overs.
Chris Miller lead the hosts bowling with 3-54 from 13 overs, Freddie Fallows took 2-44 off 15, Louis Backhouse 1-41 from 11 , Evan Williams 0-6 off 2 and Sam Sharp 0-21 from 7.
The Kendal reply was going well until Riley Vernon bowled Freddie Fallows for 25 (15 balls), 40-1, Max Winskill was the host's number three and he was next out becoming Riley Vernon's second victim caught by Oli Wileman for 11 (36 balls), 64-2.
James Bowman was next in but was out caught by Will Beeden off Matt Jackson for 1 (16 balls), 67-3, Bradley Earl joined Evan Williams but became Matt Jackson's second wicket caught by Reece Irving for 13 (12 balls), 87-4.
Finlay Richardson came in and was Matt Jackson's next victim lbw for 3 (15 balls), 91-5. Matt Jackson took the prized wicket of Evan Williams caught behind by Lewis Edge for 38 (75 balls), 100-6, Oli Wileman collected two wickets to the cause, Sam Sharp lbw for 7 (20 balls) 121-7, Lewis Richardson was stumped by Lewis Edge for 19 (27 balls) 128-8.
Joseph Dodds and Louis Backhouse dug in to try and save the game, Matt Jackson claimed his fifth wicket Joseph Dodds caught behind by Lewis Edge for 12 (31 balls), 152-9.
Oli Wileman claimed his third wicket and victory for the visitors having Louis Backhouse caught by Will Beeden for 21 (21 balls) as Kendal were bowled out for 158 in 45 overs with Chris Miller 1no (2 balls).
Matt Jackson took 5-34 from 13 overs, Oli Wileman 3-24 off 8, Riley Vernon 2-30 from 15, Josh Wills 0-25 off 3 and Samuel Medhurst 0-40 from 6.
