Round 14 of the Northern Premier League saw for the second week in a row St Annes being the only club to complete a match with victory at Penrith all the other games abandoned.

Garstang v Chorley
Garstang won the toss at the Riverside Sports ground and put the visitors into bat, it looked like a good decision with Ian Walling bowling Will Moulton with the fifth ball of the match for 0 (5 balls), 0-1
Roshen Silva was the Chorley number three but soon lost his partner, Ian Walling taking his second wicket bowling Alfie Dobson for 4 (14 balls), 12-2. Joshua Pistorius came in next but fell to Ian Walling bowled for 4 (7 balls), 18-3.
Ian Walling was having a great day and took two more wickets, first Zayn Wadiwala was lbw for 0 (6 balls). 22-4, next ball he claimed his fifth wicket Harry Barclay lbw for 0, 22-5.
New batsman Andrew Holdsworth was 1no (10 balls) and Roshen Silva 13no (38 balls) when the weather intervened and the game abandoned with Chorley 23-5 in 13.3 overs
Ian Walling took 5-13 from 7 overs with Waris Khan 0-10 off 6.3

Penrith v St Annes
Penrith won the toss at Tynefield Park and invited the visitors to bat first, Yohan De Silva and Tom Higson opened, the first man out was Tom Higson lbw to James Ellis for 10 (24 balls),16-1
Nathan Bolus came in at number three and with De Silva took the score past the fifty, their partnership was broken by Harsha Vithana who had Nathan Bolus lbw for 12 (32 balls), 52-2, Nathan Armsrong was next in but was soon out caught behind by Alister Craig off Harsha Vithana for 2 (15 balls), 64-3
Luke Jardine was the new batsman but on reach 10 (25 balls) he was bowled by Harsha Vithana, 90-4. Alec McGloughlin replaced Armstrong and was scoring at a run a ball until he was bowled by Samuel Hall for 23 (21 balls), 124-5. Lukman Vahaluwala joined De Silva and he to was kepping the scoreboard ticking over, 15 Greg Cameron broke the psrtnership by having Lukman Vahaluwala lbw for 15 (13 balls). 147-6
Mitch Bolus was the new man in but became Samuel Hall's second victim caught by Owen Jones for 10 (20 balls), 168-7. Yohan De Silva had been keeping one end going but he was the next to go lbw to Samuel Hall for 83 (132 balls), 185-8.
Ryan Birkman and James Bradley were the new batsmen, Ryan Birkman attacked the Penrith bowling but fell stumped by Alister Craig off Samuel Hall for 23 (13 (balls)(3x4 1x6). Paul Wilks 1no (3 balls) and James Bradley 4no (4 balls) saw the visitors close on 213 for 9 in their 50 overs
The Penrith bowling was Samuel Hall 4-53 from 10 overs, Harsha Vithana 3-22 off 15, James Ellis 1-18 from 5, Greg Cameron 1-44 off 6, Finlay Hansford 0-27 from 6 and James Bowman 0-37 off 8
James Bowman and Ollie Greenwood opened for the hosts but on reaching 20 both players were out, James Bowman went first caught behind by James Bradley off Alec McGloughlin for 19 (24 balls), 20-1, Mitch Bolus had Ollie Greenwood lbw for 3 (10 balls), 20-2
Harsh Vithana and Sulosan Thiru were the new batsmen but with ten runs added Harsha Vithana was caught behind by James Bradley off Alec McGlouhlin for 6 (15 balls), 30-3. Bem Littleton was the incoming batsman and with Thiru doubled the score, their partnership was broken Yohan De Silva having Littleto caught by Mitch Bolus for 19 (40 balls), 68-4
Greg Cameron joined Thiru and they continued the build the score until Sulosan Thiru was caught by Ryan Birkman off Tom Higson for 23 (61 balls), 92-5, Alister Craig came in to partner Cameron but with the score on 117 Mitch Bolus had Greg Cameron caught by Paul Wilks for 37 (51 balls), 117-6.
Disaster struck for the hosts with the loss of two wickets on 118, Alec McGloughlin bowled Alister Craig for 0 (18 balls),118-8, next ball he had Samuel Hall caught by Tom Higson for 0, 118-8. Owen Jones and James Ellis had the task of trying to save the game, Alec McGloughlin claimed his fifth wicket Owen Jones caught behind by James Bradley for 5 (18 balls), 126-9
Finlay Hansford came in at number eleven and battled with James Ellis but all to no avail, Mitch Bolus trapped James Ellis lbw for 22 (37 balls) as Penrith were bowled out for 160 in 48.1 overs with Finlay Hansford 9no (22 balls).
Alec McGloughlin lead the way for St Snnes with 5-23 from 11 overs, Mitch Bolus 3-39 off 12.1, Yohan De Silva 1-38 from 13 and Tom Higson 1-44 off 12
