Lancaster and Morecambe returned with Barrow and Penrith moving to The Palace Shield

Fleetwood v Longridge
On a gorgeous sunny day at Broadwater Longridge won the toss and elected to bat
The Longridge opening pair Luke Platt and Joshua Mullin put the visitors in a strong postion, Platt making 63 in 112 balls and Mullin 58 from 108 balls
The innings closed on 195-4 with contributions of 29 from James Whitehead, 21no from Thomas Turner and 17no from Daniel Wilkinson Jnr
On a tough day for the Fleetwood bowlers Jack Wilkinson took 2-55 from 13 overs and Chesney Hughes 2-63 from 15
The Fleetwood reply never got off the ground with Jonathan Millward decimating the home team batting, his figures 12 overs, 7 maidens 17 runs 7 wickets.
Captain Adam Shorrocks with 18 top scored with Ben Reader 14 the only other batsman to reach double figures
Fulwood & Broughton v Blackpool
Blackpool won the toss at Highfield and invited the hosts to bat,
Mark Smith and Matthew Rosbottom opened the batting for Fulwood & Broughton and took the score to 36 when Smith fell lbw to Sagar Trivadi for 14 (34 balls)
Matthew Grindley then had Rosbottom caught behind by Ben Howarth for 20 (34 balls) without any addition to the score. 36-2
Ben Parkinson and Ben Rosbottom had moved the total to 53 when Chris Baines bowled Rosbottom for 8 (16 balls), 53-3.
The fall of the wicket brought Abhay Negi to the wicket and with Ben Parkinson took the score to 84 when Chris Baines bowled Parkinson 13 (32 balls) 84-4
Negi's next partner was Mike Sambell and they had added 43 runs when Sambell was caught by Joshua Boyne off Tomas King for 21 (57 balls). 127-5
Jon Fenton joined Negi and they were undefeated when the innings closed on 230-5, Abhay Negi was 120no off 95 balls hitting 8x6 and 8x4, Jon Fenton was 30no (35 balls).
It was a hard day in the field for the Blackpool bowlers, Chris Baines took 2 for 40 from 10, Tomas King 1-12 off 3, Sagar Trivadi 1-42 off 11 and Matthew Grindley 1-45 off 15
Tomas King and Sam Dutton opened the Blackpool innings but Abhay Negi got in on the act again bowling Sam Dutton 1 (9 balls) 14-1.
Ciaran Johnson joined King but with only 13 runs added King was bowled by Jon Fenton for 23 (25 balls). 27-2. Without further addition Johnson was caught behind by Mike Sambell off Abhay Negi for 0 (20 balls) 27-3.
Sagar Trivadi was joined by Joshua Boyne but Negi struck again bowling Boyne for 9 (10 balls), 37-4, Dylan Henshall was next in but was soon out trapped lbw by Jon Fenton for 6 (7 balls) 44-5
Ben Howarth came in at no 6 but lossed Trivadi with 10 runs added to the total caught by Dominic Jackson off Abhay Negi for 10 (11 balls), 54-6
Negi struck one run later bowling Ben Howarth for 1 (11 balls) 55-7. Matthew Grindley and Paul Danson tried to stave off defeat but Euan Mansford had other ideas having Grindley caught for 9 (13 balls) 82-8
Mansford then trapped Chris Baines lbw first ball for 0, 82-9, he then had Paul Danson caught for 17 (20 balls) with Matthew Siddall 13no Blackpool were 96 all out in 26.1 overs
Abhay Negi was Fulwood & Broughton's best bowler with 5-28 off 9 overs, supported by Euan Mansford 3-14 from 4.1 overs with Jon Fenton 2-33 off 8
Kendal v Chorley
Kendal won the toss and chose to bat first at Shap Road, Chris Miller and Darren Nightingale opening for the hosts. They had an opening partnership of 49 when Chris Miller was stumped by Harry Barclay off Ian Oakes for 15 (41 balls) 49-1.
Tom Aspinwall soon followed caught by Siddesh Lad off James Lee for 0 (4 balls), 52-2, Ben Phillips came in at 4 but had made 10 (21 balls) when he was bowled by James Lee, 70-3
Darren Nightingale fell one run later James Lee's third victim, caught by Samuel Steeple for 46 (48 balls) 71-4. Lee took his fourth wicket without addition to the score having Lukman Vahaluwala caught by Siddesh Lad for 0 (8 balls) 71-5
Edward Price and Saeed Bariwala dug in and steered the score to a defendable total, their partnership was 73 when Bariwala fell caught by Ben Simpkins off Will Moulton for 47 (57 balls), 144-6
Moulton struck again next ball trapping Toby Tyson lbw for 0, 144-7, Edward Price's long innings came to an end caught Simpkins bowled Moulton for 36 (78 balls) 157-8
The Kendal innings was coming to a close when Will Moulton took his fourth wicket Kuldeep Singh lbw for 1 (8 balls) 158-9, Kendal were all out for 161 when Matthew Park was caught behind off Siddesh Lad for 0 (6 balls)
Will Moulton took 4-27 from 8 overs, James Lee 4-28 off 9 with Ian Oakes 1-30 from 10 and Siddesh Lad 1-31 off 11.4
The Chorley innings got off to a slow start with Andrew Holdsworth and Ben Simpkins. Holdsworth the first to go caught by Saeed Bariwala off Lukman Vahaluwala for 4 (24 balls). 17-1
Things did not improve for the visitors Ben Simpkins was caught by Darren Nightingale off Tom Aspinwall for 11 (26 balls) without any addition to the score. 17-2
The new batsmen Harry Barclay and Siddesh Lad began to rebuild the innings, Thier put on 97 runs when Tom Aspinwall broke the partnership having Harry Barclay caught behind by Richard Dakin for 37 (88 balls). 114-3
As often happens in the game of cricket Siddesh lad fell four runs later lbw to Lukman Vahaluwala for 54 (90 balls), 118-4. Tom Aspinwall took his third wicket bowling Joseph Tiffin for 1 (8 balls) 119-5
Chorley were in trouble and the Kendal score looked a long way off, Alfie Dobson joined Will Moulton and they took the score to 133 when Aspinwall struck having Dobson caught behind by Richard Dakion for 3 (13 balls) 133-6
Tom Aspinwall took his fifth wicket bowling Louis Johnson for 0 (2 balls) 133-7. Sam Steeple was next in and with Moulton they moved towards a possible victory with the overs running out, Steeple was bowled by Lukman Vahaluwala for 4 (14 balls) 149-8
The game ended with a winning draw for Kendal with the visitors four runs short on 157-8, Will Moulton 26no (38 balls) and Ian Oakes 4no (5 balls)
Tom Aspinwall was the pick of the Kendal bowlers with figures of 11 overs 5 maidens 15 runs 5 wickets with Lukman Vahaluwala 3-46 from 15 overs
Lancaster v Netherfield
Netherfield won the toss at Lune Road and invited the hosts to bat first, They were bowled out in 49.3 overs for 179. Steven Fisher 52 was their top scorer with contributions from Ali Azmat 34, Lewis McGinley 19, Laurie Atkinson 18, Surath Bastola 16 and 12 from Ben Simm
Richie Forsyth the sixth bowler was the visitors bowler of the day with figures of 10.3 overs 2 maidens 28 runs 5 wickets, Matt Jackson had 3-25 off 10, Isaac Medhurst 1-18 from 7 and Shrikant Munda 1-56 off 12.
In reply Netherfield were made to fight for their victory reaching their target of 180-6 in 49.1 overs thanks to captain Ben Barrow with 106no hitting 13 fours, James Bowman supported with 23
The Lancaster bowling fiugres were Ben Simm 15 overs 2 maidens 61 runs 3 wickets, Ali Azmat 14.1 overs 2 maidens 46 runs 2 wickets and Irfan Qayyum 11 overs 2 maidens 33 runs 1 wicket
Leyland v Garstang
Leyland won the toss at the Stanning memorial ground and elected to bat. They made 173-7 in their 50 overs, top scorer was Kurtis Watson with 63 with contributions from Karl Cross 21, Jacob Wright 19,James Rounding 17 and Joe Wallwork-Woods 16
The wickets were shared by the Garstang bowlers, Waris Khan 3-30 from 10 overs, Mattie McKiernan 2-42 off 15 and Ian Walling 1-27 from 8.
Garstang in reply lost 3 quick wickets with Dan Curwen keeping Mattie McKiernan company for a while but on his dismissal Matthew Crowther came to the wicket and the tide turned in Garstang's favour.
Mattie McKiernan and Crowther took control until McKiernan was put for 90 (115 balls) hitting 13 fours and 2 sixes. Matthew Crowther 50no (89 balls) with Ian Walling 7no (5 balls) saw the visitors home on 180-5 in 41.5 overs
For Leyland Kurtis Watson took 3-45 from 9.5 overs with Joe Shackleton 1-12 off 5 and Karl Cross 1-61 from 15.
Morecambe v St Annes
St Annes won the toss at Woodhill Lane and decided to bat first. Tom Higson and Alex Bradley opened and had reached 43 when Bradley was caught by Jamie Heywood off Liam Moffat for 8 (40 balls). 43-1
Luke Jardine joined Higson, three runs were added to the total when Higson fell caught by Gareth Pedder off Liam Moffat 36 (42 balls), Luke Jardine was next out caught by Ryan Pearson off Tommy Clough for 6 (23 balls) 57-3
Nathan Bolus and Nathan Armstrong dug in but Bolus fell lbw to Ashar Zaidi for 6 (30 balls), 61-4. Corey Flintoff was next in but was out caught and bowled by Zaidi for 2 (10 balls) 67-5
Zaidi put St Annes in further trouble bowling Andrew Flintoff for 3 (13 balls) 73-6. Tommy Clough then bowled Thomas Bradley for 0 (3 balls) 74-7
Nathan Armstrong had been battling along and now received help from the tail, firstly Mitch Bolus who made 16 in 24 balls before being run out by Jamie Cassidy. 103-8. Nathan Armstrong was next out caught by Tommy Clough off Zaidi for 22 (59 balls) 112-9
The St Annes final pair took the game to Morecambe with a partnership of 51 runs. Matthew Yeadon was 19no from 38 balls and Harry Birkman 25no from 19 balls as St Annes closed on 154-9 in their 50 overs
Ashar Zaidi was Morecambe's best bowler with 4-22 off 15 overs supported by Tommy Clough 2-35 from 15 and Liam Moffat 2-40 off 10
Gareth Pedder and Luke Pearson were the host openers, Pearson fell bowled by Mitch Bolus for 12 (15 balls) 18-1. Charlie Swarbrick joined Pedder and the had a partnership of 31 when Pedder was caught by Tom Higson off Corey Flintoff for 17 (53 balls) 49-2
Ashar Zaid was next in and added 55 runs with Swarbrick, both fell within a run of each other bowled by Harry Birkman, Swarbrick for 55 (94 balls) hitting 10 fours, 104-3. Zaidi 9 (38 balls) 105-4.
Ryan Pearson and Jamie Heywood were the new batsmen, Heywood became Birkman's third victim caught by Nathan Armstrong for 1 (14 balls) 113-5. Pearson with Kieran Moffat began to steer the home side to victory but Moffat was out caught behind by Nathan Bolus off Tom Higson for 15 (21 balls) 143-6
Ryan Pearson was joined by Reuben Orr and they saw Morecambe home reaching 157-6 in 48.1 overs. Pearson was 27no (46 balls) ans Orr 4no (8 balls)
Harry Birkman was the best of the St Annes bowlers taking 3-20 from 12 overs, with Corey Flintoff 1-19 from 6, Tom Higson 1-33 off 11 and Mitch Bolus 1-45 from 12.1
