Wins for Leyland, Garstang Fulwood & Broughton, Blackpool and fourth win for St Annes in six games the other two abandoned and Penrith's win edging Kendal closer to relegation
Blackpool v Barrow
Barrow won the toss at Stanley Park and elected to bat, Justin Pringle and Toby Mowat got them off to a very good start with an opening partnership of 88 when Pringle was caught by Joshua Boyne off Matthew Siddall for 34 (57 balls), 88-1
Dineth Thimodya Hewathanthre joined Mowat and they added 14 runs when Mowat fell to the Boyne/Siddall combination for 45 (59 balls), 102-2. Glen Kermode was next in and was Siddall's third victim bowled for 4 (25 balls), 124-3
Matthew Siddall claimed his fourth wicket trapping Greg Reynolds lbw for 0 (5 balls), 125-4, Hewathanthre's next partner was Daryl Wearing and they put on twenty runs when Wearing was caught by Matthew Siddall off Joshua Boyne for 5 (25 balls) 145-5
Jack Hill-Eades was next out with the total on 164 caught by Joshua Boyne off Matthew Grindley for 9 (17 balls), 164-6., Sam Henderson followed caught Boyne bowled Grindley for 4 (9 balls), 173-7
Dineth Thimodya Hewathanthre patient innings came to an end caught by Sam Dutton off Matthew Grindley for 75 189-8, Matthew Adams was run out by Paul Danson off the last ball of the 50 overs for 6 (5 balls) as Barrow closed on 192-9 with Robin Adams not out 0 (1 ball)
Matthew Siddall took 4-52 from 17 overs, Matthew Grindley 3-25 off 8 and Joshua Boyne 1-51 from 17
The Blackpool opening partnership of Tomas King and Sam Dutton mirrored the Barrow innings with a partnership of 87 when King was caught behind by Justin Pringle off Dineth Thimodya Hewathanthre for 50, 87-1.
Brad Williams joined Dutton and they saw Blackpool home reaching 195-1 in 30.2 overs with Dutton 105no (87 balls) (11 fours and 2 sixes) with Brad Williams 37no (30 balls)
Chorley v St Annes
St Annes won the toss at Windsor Park and put the home side into bat, Chorley were bowled out for 97 in 44.1 overs with Edwin Moulton top scoring with 35 and later contributions from the tail with Alexander Howarth 16 and Andrew Holdsworth 15
Amar Ullah took 4-22 from 8.1 overs, Mohamed Nadeem 4-37 off 17 and Tom Bradley 2-5 from 7
In reply St Annes knocked off the runs in 43.3 overs thanks to Tim Smithies carrying his bat for 60no and being ably supported by Henry Higson 12 and Nathan Armstrong 9no
Chamikara Edirisinghe took 4-32 off 17 overs, Edwin Moulton 2-14 from 9 and Jamie Lee 1-10 off 7
Garstang v Longridge
Garstang won the toss at the Riverside Sports ground and invited the visitors to bat, Longridge struggled and were bowled out for 75 in 42.2 overs with only John Simpson 16 and Nick Wilkinson 13 reaching double figures.
Travis Pieters did the damage taking 6-20 in 16 overs, Ian Wall 3-20 from 12 and Danny Gilbert 1-16 off 8.2
Garstang took only 21.5 overs to reach their target 77-4 with Punit Bisht 36 no, Danny Wilson took 2-22 from 7.5 overs, Ian Simpson 1-6 off 3 and Jonathan Millward 1-30 from 8
Leyland v Fleetwood
Leyland won the toss at the Stanning Memorial Ground and decided to bat, The made 173-8 in their 50 overs thanks to Karl Cross 68 (115 balls), supported by Saif Badar 38 (28 balls) and Kurtis Watson 28 (61 balls)
Neels Berg took 5-59 from 17 overs with Jack Wilkinson 3-35 off 13
The League leaders bowled out Fleetwood for 122 in 42.4 overs, Adam Sharrocks 29 (46 balls) and Keegan Armstrong 26 (75) the main Fleetwood run makers.
Nathan McDonnell mopped up the tail and finished with 4-10 in 4.4 overs, Ross Bretherton took 2-29 from 11, Saif Badar 2-30 off 14, Karl Cross 1-21 from 6 and Henry Thompson 1-28 off 7
Netherfield v Fulwood & Broughton
Netherfield won the toss at Park Road and invited the visitors to bat, The score was on 5 when Euan Fletcher was caught behind by Lewis Edge off Matt Jackson for 0 5-1,
Bevan Small then bowled Mark Smith for 8, 13-2. Matt Jackson then took his second wicket having Matthew Smith caught by Ben Barrow for 4, 22-3. Jon Fenton and Simon Kerrigan then steadied the ship and took the total to 47 when Kerrigan was caught by Joel Blain off Samuel Medhurst for 12. 47-4
Rob Dingle was next out lbw to Isaac Medhurst for 5, 56-5, Thirteen runs had been added when Ben Rosbottom was lbw to Joel Blain for 8, 69-6
Jon Fenton and Christopher Ward dug in but on 100 two wickets fell, Jon Fenton stumped by Lewis Edge off Joel Blain for 39, 100-7, then Lewis Dingle was lbw to Blain for 0, 100-8
Three runs later Dominic Jackson was caught by behind by Lewis Edge off Thomas John Anderton for 3, 103-9. Joel Blain claimed his fourth wicket bowling Christopher Ward for 13 as The visitors were bowled out for 105 in 37.1 overs
Joel Blain took 4-16 from 7.1 overs, Matt Jackson 2-24 off 6, Thomas John Anderton 1-5 from 1, Samuel Medhurst 1-46 off 4, Isaac Mehurst 1-14 from 9 and Bevan Small 1-32 off 10
Fulwood & Broughton struck early having Ben Barrow lbw to Jon Fenton for 8 (11 balls), 8-1 Bevan Small fell to the same fate lbw to Jon Fenton for 8 (6 balls) 20-2
Fenton took his third wicket Bradley Earl caught by Chris Brookes for 7 (13 balls) 28-3, Netherfield were having to fight for their runs and with the score on 41 lost Lewis Edge stumped by Mark Smith off Simon Kerrigan for 5 (25 balls) 41-4
Josh Dixon's dogged innings came to and end when he was trapped lbw by Chris Brookes for 12 (55 balls), 47-5, The game was going away for the home side as Thomas John Anderton was bowled by Chris Brookes for 7 (29 balls) 48-6
Netherfield were fighting a rearguard action after Joel Blain was caught by Dominic Jackson off Chris Brookes for 1 (15 balls), 50-7. Simon Kerrigan took the eighth home wicket David Darley caught by Rob Dingle for 16 (66 balls) 75-8
Kerrigan then bowled Matt Jackson for 1 (7 balls) 77-9. Jon Fenton took his fourth wicket and victory for the visitors by trapping Samuel Medhusrt lbw for 1 (2 balls) Netherfield all out for 78 in 47.1 overs.
Jon Fenton took 4-29 from 9.1 overs, Chris Brookes 3- 18 off 16 and Simon Kerrigan 3-25 from 15
Penrith v Kendal
Kendal won the toss at Tynefield Park and elected to bat, They lost Tom Aspinwall for 4 (8 balls) lbw to Asher Hart, 5-1, Asher Hart then bowled Ben Phillips next ball for 0 (1 ball), 5-2
Things went from bad to worse as Ryan Shepherd was run out for 2 (5 balls) by Jonathon Osborne, 6-3. Terry Hunte was next to go caught by Samuel Hall off Greg Hall for 2 (8 balls), 8-4
Lukman Vahaluwala was then trapped lbw by Asher Hart for 0 (11 balls), 10-5. Saeed Bariwala became Asher Hart's third lbw of the innings for 10 (11 balls) 19-6.
Asher Hart took his fifth wicket Shane Hyland caught by Jonathon Osborne for 0 (12 balls), 32-7. Chris Miller fell lbw to Greg Hall 2 (2 balls), 35-8.
Two runs had been added when Saif Vohra was caught by Greg Cameron off Greg Hall for 13 (22 balls), 37-9. Kendal were bowled out for 45 in 14.4 overs when Toby Tyson was lbw to Greg Hall for 9 (9 balls), Kuldeep Singh was 0no (1 ball).
Asher Hart took 6-14 from 7 overs and Greg Hall 3-30 off 7.4
Penrith were made to fight for their win losing three early wickets, Alister Craig was bowled by Kuldeep Singh for 2 (14 balls), 6-1, Singh then bowled Samuel Hall for 4 (13 balls) 7-2
Greg Cameron was the third wicket to fall bowled by Kuldeep Singh for 9 (10 balls), 17-3, Greg Hall was joined by Asher Hart and they took the home side to within 2 runs for victory when Hall was trapped lbw by Kuldeep Singh 10 (27 balls)
Asher Hart finished off the game with a six to see Penrith home at 50-4 in 15.3 overs. Hart was 23no (29 balls). Kuldeep Singh took 4-19 off 8 overs.
The ramifications of this defeat for Kendal was they are now in the relegation zone 26 points behind Penrith
