In a weather effected weekend at the top Blackpool and Netherfield win along with Garstang and Chorley, The Fleetwwod v Barrow game was abandoned and Preston conceded their match against St Annes

DIVISION ONE:

Blackpool v Morecambe

Due to the weather the match at Stanley Park was reduced to a 54 over game, Blackpool won the toss and invited the visitors to bat

The Morecambe innings got off to a bad start losing Lewis Smith off the third ball of the match caught behind by Ben Howarth off the bowling of Jovaun Van Wyngaardt for 0, 0-1

Things went from bad to worse when the Morecambe professional Luke Jongwe was out to the Howarth/Van Wyngaardt combination for 5, 9-2

Luke Pearson and Sam Cooper had taken the score to 39 when Pearson was bowled by Matthew Grindley for 18, 39-3

Ryan Pearson joined Cooper and the total had moved on to 59 when Van Wyngaardt struck bowling Cooper for 20, 53-4, Pearson quickly followed bowled by Matthew Grindley for 9, 56-5

Daniel Edwards was next out falling to the Howarth/Van Wyngaardt partnership for 9, 69-6, Alex Briggs and Tommy Clough had moved the score to 83 when for the fourth time in the innnings the Howarth/Van Wyngaardt combination removed Clough for 12, 83-7

Alex Briggs 14no and Jamie Cassidy 6no saw Morecambe close on 98-7 in their allocated 27 overs. Blackpool only used two bowlers Jovaun Van Wyngaardt 5-50 off 14 overs and Matthew Grindley 2-45 from 13

The Blackpool innings mirrored that of the visitors, they lost Ciaran Johnson caught behind by Reuben Orr off Jamie Cassidy for 0, 2-1, Joshua Boyne quickly followed caught by Zac Buchanan off the bowling of Luke Jongwe for 2, 8-2

Matthew Houston and Jovaun Van Wyngaardt then began to take control until the introduction of Tommy Clough into the attack, the total was total was 57 when Clough bowled Van Wyngaardt for 18, 57-3

Ten runs had been added when Clough struck again having Ben Howarth caught by Luke Longwe for 1, 67-4, Blackpool soon lost their fifth wicket when Clough trapped Andy Furniss lbw for 7, 75-5

Matthew Houston had been patiently keeping one end going but his innings came to an end when on 37 from 74 balls he became Clough's fourth victim caught by Zac Buchanan, 82-6

Jake Muncaster and Paul Danson took Blackpool to 95 when Danson was run out by Zac Buchanan for 4 96-7, Blackpool won on the last ball of the game making 99-7 with Muncaster 15no and Matthew Grindley 2no

Tommy Clough took 4-31 from 8 with Luke Jongwe 1-13 off 5, Jamie Cassidy 1-18 from 6

Chorley v Fulwood & Broughton

The match at Windsor Park was reduced to a 76 over match, Chorley won the toss and put the visitors into bat

Richard Turner and Rana Pratap Singh Thakur Shiv made a steady start, Thakur Shiv was out lbw to Will Moulton 38 and Turner caught by Stuart Naden off Will Moulton for 17

The Fulwood & Broughton innings closed after their 38 overs on 138-6 with contributions from Mark Smith 24no, Simon Kerrigan 16 and Jon Fenton 12no

Will Moulton took 5-46 off 11 overs with Joe Barker taking 1-19 from 8

Chorley had a good start with the opening partnership of Stuart Naden and Wian Van Zyl as the home team took control, Naden was out caught by Jon Fenton off Matthew Smith for 22

Van Zyl with 80no in 69 balls (8x4 4x6) saw Chorley home with the loss of only 2 more wickets as Chorley closed on 142-3 from 27 over

Fleetwood v Barrow

The match was abandoned without a ball being bowled

Garstang v Penrith

Garstang batted first at the Riverside Sports ground and had reached 17 when Fayaz Ughradar was bowled by Greg Hall for 0, 17-1, Michael Wellings followed soon after bowled by Greg Hall for 5, 30-2

Michael Walling and Mark Walling steadied the ship and took the total to 60 when Mark Walling was caught by Alister Craig off the bowling of Greg Hall for 13, 60-3, it became 82-4 when Greg Hall took his fourth wicket bowling Coen Oosthuysen for 12

Matthew Crowther and Michale Walling had a stand of 59 before Michael Walling was caught by Greg Hall off Ashwin Hebbar for 72 from 69 balls with 10 fours, 141-5, Hebbar struck again having Ian Walling caught by Greg Cameron for 4, 151-6

Two runs later Michael Crowther was trapped by Ashwin Hebbar lbw for 30, 153-7, Mark Winstanley was run out for 4 155-8, the innings closed with Garstand 161-8 in their 31 overs

Greg Hall took 4-63 from 16 overs with Ashwin Hebbar 3-33 from 7

Ian Walling struck early for Garstang having Ashwin Hebbar caught behind by Matthew Crowther for 1, 2-1, Nick Hodgson soon followed bowled by Danny Gilbert for 5, 13-2

Nicky Burns and Jonathon Osborne began to rebuild the Penrith innings but with the score on 45 Osborne was bowled by Danny Gilbert for 5, 45-3, the fourth wicket fell on 59 when Greg Cammeron was out lbw to Coen Oosthuysen for 7

Disaster for Penrith Nicky Burns was out next without a run being added lbw to Fayaz Ughradar for 30, 59-5, Ughradar struck again taking two wickets bowling Greg Hall for 2 65-6 and then Samuel Hall for 5 71-7

Penrith lost their eighth wicket when Alister Craig was stumped by Michael Crowther off Coen Oosthuysen for 3, 75-8, Oosthuysen struck again having Eddie Robson caught by Michael Wellings for 6, 80-9

The innings closed when Fayaz Ughradar bowled Dan Morland for 0 80 all out in 24.3 overs. Fayaz Ughradar took 4-14 off 6.3 overs, Coen Oosthuysen 3-8 from 5, Danny Gilbert 2-27 off 7 and Ian Walling 1-21 from 6

Leyland v Netherfield

Leyland won the toss in this 74 over match at the Stanning Memorial ground and invited the visitors to bat

Batting was not easy and Netherfield closed their innings after 37 overs on 125-9 with the main contributions coming from Bradley Earl 29, Lewis Richardson 28 and 18no from no 11 Matt Jackson

Ross Bretherton took 3-34 off 14, Andrew Jacques 3-22 from 4, Karl Cross 2-52 off 17 and Will Jacques 1-10 from 2

Leyland struggled when they batted and were all out for 99 in 35.4 overs. Henry Thompson top scoring with 36. Harrison Cox took out the top 3 and the tail to finish with 6-26 off 12.4 overs ably supported by Marc Hadwin 2-23 from 12 and Robbie Dwyer 2-32 off 5

St Annes v Preston

Preston could not raise a team so they conceded the match to St Annes
