The top two clash at Parkside Road turns out to be a damp squid, the match was abandoned so Blackpool remain top

The fight against relegation goes on, Morecambe had a vital win against Fleetwood, Fulwood & Broughton lost to St Annes leaving them 13 pts behind Morecambe

Penrith lost heavily to Chorley and Garstang beat bottom club Preston, Leyland had a winning draw at Barrow

DIVISION ONE:

Barrow v Leyland

Leyland won the toss at the Ernest Pass Memorial ground and decided to bat, they were 184-9 after their 50 overs thanks to Ross Bretherton 67, James Rounding 48 and Karl Cross 23.

Daryl Wearing took 5-49 from 17 overs, Gary Collins 2-42 off 12 with Toby Mowat and Greg Reynolds with a wicket each

In reply Barrow made 158-7 off their 50 overs due to Ashen Silva's 79no with Sam Henderson 18 the next highest scorer.

The Leyland bowlers shared out the wickets, Andrew Makinson 2-12 from 5 overs, Henry Thompson 2-40 off 15, Nathan McDonnell 2-48 from 14 with Ross Bretherton 1-25 from 11

Fulwood & Broughton v St Annes

Fulwood & Broughton won the toss at Highfield and elected to bat but lost Jon Fenton caught by Mohamed Nadeem off Matthew Yeadon for 0, 0-1. Mark Smith was joined by Rana Pratap Singh Thakur Shiv and they took the total to 22 when Smith became Yeadon's second victim bowled for 15, 22-2

Simon Kerrigan and Thakur Shiv slowly began rebuilding the Fulwood & Broughton innings but on 63 Kerrigan was caught by Mohamed Nadeem off Tom Bradley for 24, 63-3, Thakur Shiv soon followed stumped by Richard Staines off Tom Higson for 24, 65-4

Tom Higson then took three wickets bowling Charlie Rossiter for 4, 72-5, having Christopher Ward caught by Tom Bradley for 0, 73-6 and Richard Turner caught by Henry Higson for 3, 79-7

Rob Dingle was joined by Dominic Jackson and they had a stand of 41 when Jackson was out caught by Tom Higson for 6 120-8, Dingle fell 10 runs later lbw to Jamar Ifill for 47, 130-9, Ifill then had Matthew Hurst caught by Nathan Armstrong off the last ball of the innings for 0, 130 all out

St Annes used four bowlers, Tom Higson 4-42 from 17 overs, Matthew Yeadon 3-35 off 7, Jamar Ifill 2-20 from 7 and Tom Bradley 1-27 off 17

St Annes lost Andy Drake for 2 caught by Dominic Jackson off Jon Fenton, 2-1, No 3 Jamar Ifill was next out bowled by Simon Kerrigan for 9, 17-2, Henry Higson was joined by Jonny Whitehead and they took the score to 40 when Whitehead was caught by Mark Smith off Jon Fenton for 17, 40-3

Mohamed Nadeem lasted only two balls caught by Charlie Rossiter off Jon Fenton for 0, 40-4. Only one run had been added when Richard Staines was caught by Dominic Jackson off Richard Turner for 1, 41-5

Henry Higson's next partner was Nathan Armstrong and they steadily began to rebuild the innings but on 82 disaster struck for St Annes first Higson's fighting innings came to an end caught by Dominic Jackson off Jon Fenton for 19, 82-6, then Armstrong fell caught by Rob Dingle off Dominic Jackson for 34, 82-7

St Annes were no staring defeat in the face but Tom Higson and Tom Bradley did not panic and saw the visitors home closing on 134-7 in 44.3 overs, Tom Higson was 42no (48 balls) and Tom Bradley 8no (27 balls)

Jon Fenton took 4-34 from 11 with Simon Kerrigan, Richard Turner and Dominic Jackson taking a wicket each

Morecambe v Fleetwood

Fleetwood won the toss at Woodhill Lane and chose to bat but lost Declan Clerkin bowled by Jamie Cassidy for 0, 3-1. Jeremy Davies soon followed bowled by Tommy Clough for 4, 15-2

Neels Bergh and Adam Sharrocks then had a stand of 42 when Sharrocks was trapped lbw by Tommy Clough for 17, 57-2, Clough struck two more blows having Charlie Clark caught behind by Reuben Orr for 0, 63-4 then three balls later trapping Liam Castellas lbw for 0 63-5

Alex Ryder joined Bergh and they steadily took the score to 112 when Neels Bergh was out bowled by Luke Jongwe for 73, 112-6, Alex Ryder followed lbw to Daniel Edwards for 19, 117-7

Jongwe struck again two runs later bowling Damien Hutchinson for 0, 117-8, James Gregson became wicket number 9 caught by Alex Briggs of Daniel Edwards for 2 125-9, Luke Jongwe ended the Fleetwood innings having Matt Clark caught by Jamie Cassidy for 6, 127 all out in 43.1 overs

Tommy Clough took 4-40 from 17 overs, Luke Jongwe 3-13 off 4.1, Daniel Edwards 2-23 from 9 with Jamie Cassidy 1-49 off 13

The Morecambe reply did not start well Jamie Heywood lbw to Alex Ryder for 2, 2-1, on 21 Luke Pearson fell lbw to James Amor for 6, 21-2, Luke Jongwe and Peter Deeks dug in but on 46 Jongwe was caught by Neels Bergh off Damien Hutchinson for 16, 46-3

Ryan Pearson joined Peter Deeks and slowly the turned the game to a possible home victory but on 109 Deeks was lbw to Alex Ryder for 29, 109-4, this was the last Fleetwood success as Pearson 52no and Alex Briggs 8no saw them home on 128-4 in 44.4 overs

Alex Ryder had 2-23 from 10 overs, James Amor 1-21 off 10 and Damien Hutchinson 1-14 from 9

Penrith v Chorley

Penrith batted first at Tynfield Park and were doing well until the introduction of Stuart Naden into the attack, he had Nick Hodgson caught and bowled for 8, 39-1, two balls later he trapped Nicky Burns lbw for 0 39-2

Greg Cameron was next out caught behind by Harry Barclay off James Lee for 1, 44-3, Stuart Naden struck again having Greg Hall caught by Andrew Holdsworth for 0, 49-4.

James Price had been holding the Penrith innings together but now he went caught by Gayan Maneeshan off Stuart Naden for 50, 60-5, six runs had been added when two wickets fell Alister Craig caught by Edwin Moulton off James Lee for 44, 66-6, Owen Jones followed caught by Gaurav Dhar off that man Naden for 2, 66-7

Stuart Naden then cleaned up the tail, Mark-Lucas Winspear caught by Andrew Holdsworth for 1, 71-8, Jonathon Osborne out to the same combination caught Holdsworth bowled Naden 0, 79-9, and finally bowing Samuel Hall for 12 80 all out in 38.4 overs

Stuart Naden had figures of 15.4 overs 5 maidens 24 runs and 8 wickets, James Lee took 2-37 off 16

Chorley knocked off the runs in 16 overs on 81-0 Alexander Howarth 55no and Wian Van Zyl 25no

Preston v Garstang

Garstang won the toss at West Cliff and elected to bat making 222-4 in their 50 overs, Michael Wellings 83no and Mark Walling 49 their main run makers

Preston were bowled out for 69 in 23 overs
