Blackpool close the gap to four points with a win over St Annes while Netherfield could only draw with Morecambe

Wins for Leyland, Chorley and Fulwood & Broughton with a tight winning draw for Barrow against Penrith

DIVISION ONE:

Barrow v Penrith

Penrith won the toss at the Ernest Pass Memorial ground and invited the host's to bat first, the opening pair took the score to 24 when Robin Adams was out lbw to Jonathon Osborne for 14, 24-1

Osborne struck again without further addition to the score having the prize wicket of Grant Roelofsen trapping him lbw for 0, 24-2

Ryan Gilmour joined Toby Mowat and they had a partnership of 118 when Mowat fell caught behind by Alister Craig off Jonathon Osborne for 77, 142-3, Greg Reynolds was next out to the Osborne/Craig combination for 9, 154-4

Daryl Wearing was Gilmour's next partner and they took the total to 185 when Osborne struck again having Wearing caught by Ashwin Hebbar for 19, 185-5, Ryan Gilmour's innings came to a close when he was bowled by Greg Hall for 61, 191-6

Hall struck again bowling Jack Hill-Eades for 3, 198-7, the Barrow innings closed on 206-7 in their 50 overs, Jonathon Osborne had figures of 5-49 off 17 overs and Greg Hall 2-64 from 14

Penrith got off to a brilliant start with an opening partnership of 94 when Henry Marshall was out caught by Gary Collins off Ryan Gilmour for 44, 94-1, the match was rain effected and Penrith needed 165 from 30 overs.

The visitors were 107 when Nicky Burns was run out by Greg Reynolds for 4, 107-2, Gary Collins had Greg Cameron caught by Glen Kermode for 5, 114-3, Greg Hall and Ashwin Hebbar took Penrith within sight of victory when Hall was bowled by Toby Mowat for 22, 163-4

Alister Craig needed two runs to win but could ony get one, the innigs closing on 164-4 to give Barrow the winning draw by 1 run, Ashwin Hebbar was 85no and Craig 1no

Blackpool v St Annes

St Annes won the toss at Stanley Park and decided to bat but lost Nathan Armstrong for 4 caught behind by Ben Howarth off Jovaun Van Wyngaardt, 4-1, Richard Staines followed bowled by Matthew Grindley for 0 9-2

Mohamed Nadeem joined Andy Drake and they took the score to 62 when Drake was bowled by Matthew Siddall for 18, 62-3, Amar Ullah was Nademm's next partner and had taken the total to 94 when Ullah was out caught by Ben Howarth off Matthew Siddall for 19, 94-4

Matthew Siddall struck again two balls later having Jamar Ifill caught in the deep by Ciaran Johnson for 0, 94-5, Nadeem was next out bowled by Joshua Boyne for 44, 94-6, three balls later Boyne bowled Tom Higson for 0 94-7

Matthew Siddall cleaned up the St Annes tail bowling Tom Bradley for 1 95-8, trappimg both Paul Wilks lbw for 2, 97-9 and Matthew Yeadon lbw for 0 97 all out in 36.2 overs

Matthew Siddall's figures were 6-31 off 10.2 overs, Joshua Boyne 2-6 from 6, Jovaun Van Wyngaardt 1-17 off 7 and Matthew Grindley 1-29 from 12

The Blackpool openers took the score to 28 when Syed Kazmi was bowled by Amar Ullah for 13, 28-1, Ullah struck again having the other opener Matthew Houston caught behind by Richard Staines for 14, 33-2

Joshua Boyne and Ciaran Johnson made steady progress but with the score on 71 Tom Higson had Johnson caught behind by Richard Staines for 24, 71-3, Blackpool lost their fourth wicket on 79 when Tom Higson bowled Andy Furniss for 0, 79-4

This was the last St Annes success and Blackpool closed on 100-4 in 23 overs with Joshua Boyne 27no and Jovaun Van Wyngaardt 9 no. Amar Ullah had 2-37 from 10 overs and Tom Higson 2-20 off 4

Chorley v Garstang

Chorley won the toss at Windsor Park and elected to bat, they lost Alexander Howarth for 10 lbw to Danny Gilbert, but then the Chorley batsmen took control with Gayan Maneeshan 118 (13x4 2x6), Wian Van Zyl 44, Edwin Moulton 44 and Andrew Holdsworth 33no as Chorley closed on 263-4 in their 50 overs

Garstang were bowled out for 203 in 42.2 overs, Michael Wellings top scoring with 54 (43 balls) and 50 from no8 Matthew Crowther. Stuart Naden took 4-49 from 8.2 overs

Fleetwood v Leyland

Leyland won the toss at Broadwater and chose to bat and were bowled out for 158 in 38.2 overs, they can thank Henry Thompson who top scored with 103 with Umar Waheed 13 the only other batsman to reach double figures

Alex Ryder took 5-42 from 13.2 overs, Declan Clerkin 2-15 off 4, Neels Bergh 2-46 from 12 and James Amour 1-20 off 2

The Fleetwood reply mirrowed the Leyland innings only two players reaching double figures, Jeremy Davies 31 and Matt Clark 13 as Fleetwood were bowled out for 78 in 28 overs

The wickets were shared out by the Leyland bowlers, Will Jacques 3-18 from 8 overs, Kurtis Watson 2-5 off 2, Ross Bretherton 2-21 from 7 with Andrew Jacques, Henry Thompson and Umar Waheed taking a wicket apiece

Netherfield v Morecambe

Netherfield won the toss and elected to bat at Parkside Road, they had made 19 when Ben Barrow was bowled by Luke Jongwe for 13, 19-1, John Boyle joined Josh Dixon and they took the score to 80 when Boyle was bowled by Louis Backhouse for 43, 80-2

Josh Dixon was next out caught by Jamie Cassidy off Daniel Edwards for 22, 96-3, Lewis Edge followed shortly afterwards caught byehind by Alex Briggs off Jamie Cassidy for 3, 105-4, Bradley Earl joined John Huck and they took control before Earl was caught by Louis Backhose off Jamie Cassidy for 63

Netherfield lost Lewis Richarson for 8 bowled by Luke Jongwe, 256-6 and declared on 263-6 in 48 overs with John Huck 78no and Harrison Cox 1no

Jamie Cassidy and Luke Jongwe took two wickets and Daniel Edwards and Louis Backhouse 1

Morecambe made a steady start and had reached 29 when Gurdeep Farma was stumped by Lewis Edge off Robbie Dwyer for 1, 29-1, the other opener Luke Pearson soon followed caught by Robbie Dwyer off Nathan Chambers for 25, 33-2

Nathan Chambers struck again with the total on 49 having Jamie Heywood caught by Ben Barrow for 8, 49-3, Ryan Pearson joined Luke Jongwe and they put the visitors in a strong position with a partnership of 179 when Longwe was caught by Josh Dixon off Marc Hadwin for 113, 228-4

228-4 became 228-5 when Alex Briggs was trapped lbw by Harrison Cox for 0, Morecambe had moved on to 243 when Daniel Edwards was caught by Lewis Richardson off Marc Hadwin for 8, 1 run later and Ryan Pearson was caght by Josh Dixon off Harrison Cox for 76, 244-7

Marc Hadwin bowled Jamie Cassidy for 2, 248-8, the innings closed on 249-8 with Lewis Smith 2no and Stefan Dixon 0no, Marc Hadwin took 3 wickets with Harrison Cox and Nathan Chambers 2 with Robbie Dwyer 1

Preston v Fulwood & Broughton

Fulwood and Broughton won the toss at West Cliff and invited the host's to bat first, Preston were bowled out in 21.1 overs for 44, the wickets were shared out by the visitors bowlers

Fulwood and Broughton knocked off the runs in 12.4 overs 45-3 with Simon Kerrigan scoring 29
