Once more the sun shone on the Northern Premier League grounds with Netherfield and Blackpool winning along with Barrow, Fleetwood, Garstang and Penrith

DIVISION ONE:

Blackpool v Fulwood & Broughton

On another sunny day at Stanley Park Fulwood & Broughton won the toss and elected to bat and lost Rana Pratap Singh Thakur Shiv for 1 caught by Joshua Boyne off Jovaun Van Wyngaardt. 3-1

Van Wyngaardt then took the prize wicket of Simon Kerrigan bowling him for 0, 7-2. Richard Turner and Matthew Smith began to rebuild the innings when Turner was caught behind by Benjamin Heath off Matthew Grindley for 14, 27-3

Charlie Rossiter joined Smith and they had taken to score to 55 when Matthew Smith was caught by Joshua Boyne off Matthew Siddall for 20, 55-4, the fifth wicket soon followed Mark Smith trapped lbw to Matthew Siddall for 0 59-5

Things did not improve the sixth wicket falling on 67 when Charlie Rossiter was out lbw to Siddall for 0, Rob Dingle and Jon Fenton dug in and had taken the totak to 88 when Dingle was caught and bowled by Joshua Boyne for 11, 88-7

Matthew Siddall then struck with two wickets bowling Dominic Jackson for 5, 95-8, then having Chris Brookes caught by Joshua Boyne for 0 95-9

Fulwood & Broughton were all out for 103 in 47.2 overs when Arbab Munir was caught by Jovaun Van Wyngaardt off Joshua Boyne for 5 with Jon Fenton undefeated on 15

Matthew Siddal had figures of 4-26 off 13 overs, Joshua Boyne 3-18 from 12.2, Jovaun Van Wyngaardt 2-24 off 8 and Matthew Grindley 1-11 from 11

When Blackpool batted Fulwood & Broughton struck early Chris Brookes bowling Matthew Houston, 0-1, Joshua Boyne joined Syed Kazmi and they took the score to 69 when Kazmi was out lbw to Arbab Munir for 20, 69-2

Next to go was Joshua Boyne caught by Simon Kerrigan off Jon Fenton for 64 (Including 13 fours), 89-3, Andy Furniss soon followed bowled by Jon Fenton for 0 93-4, Blackpool won the match without further loss and closed on 107-4 in only 20 overs

Ciaran Johnson 7 and Jovaun Van Wyngaardt 12 were the not out batsmen, Jon Fenton took 2-30 from 6 overs, Arbab Munir 1-22 off 6 and Chris Brookes 1-31 from 4

Chorley v Barrow

Chorley won the toss at Windsor Park and invited the visitors to bat, the openers batted steadily Robin Adams making 18 and Toby Mowat 32, Grant Roelofsen made a patient 30 but Barrow can be thankful to Daryl Wearing scoring 81 in 69 balls as Barrow were bowled out for 191

Stuart Naden had figures of 5-87 from 16 overs, Guarav Dhar 3-41 off 11, Edwin Moulton 1-21 from 8 and Will Moulton 1-24 off 9.

In reply only three Chorley batsmen offered any resistence, Gayan Maneeshan 97 in 101 balls (11x4), Stuart Naden 12 from 58 balls and Harry Barclay 16 from 34 balls as the hosts were bowled out for 167 in 40.4 overs

The bowlers doing the damage for Barrow were Patrick Allington 4-56 from 14.4 overs, Gary Collins 3-17 off 8, Greg Reynolds 2-39 from 7 and Daryl Wearing 1-15 off 5

Fleetwood v Preston

Preston won the toss at Broadwater and chose to bat making 176-8 in their 50 overs thanks to A Mahmood 52, Haroon Patel 43 and Rizwan Patel 38

Sam Bell took 3-26 from 12 overs, Jonathon Amor 2-36 off 9 with Neels Bergh and Alex Ryder taking a wicket each

In reply Fleetwood knocked off the runs in 26 overs closing on 178-2 with Neels Bergh 87no (15x4) and Damien Hutchinson 69no (9 x4), Rizwan Patel took 2-35 from 5 overs

Garstang v Morecambe

Morecambe won the toss at the Riverside Sports ground and asked the hosts to bat and they claimed their first wicket with the total on 18 Michael Walling caught by Daniel Edwards off Jamie Cassidy for 8

Fayaz Ughradar and Michael Wellings moved the score on to 58 when Wellings was caught by Jamie Heywood off Jamie Cassidy for 25, Ughradar soon followed bowled by Daniel Edwards for 8, 66-3

The fourth wicket fell with the score on 78 when Mark Walling was bowled by Stefan Dixon for 14, Matthew Crowther was next out for 8 caught by Peter Deeks off Daniel Edwards, 92-5

Ian Walling joined Coen Oosthuysen and the had a partnership of 60 taking the total to 152 when Walling was out for 46 caught behind by Alex Briggs off Louis Backhouse, 152-6, Oosthuysen was out on 164 stumped by Alex Briggs off Daniel Edwards for 28

Four runs later Naqib Rahman was caught by Luke Jongwe off Daniel Edwards for 2, 168-8, Mark Winstanley 23no and Travis Pieters 12no saw Garstang use their 50 overs and close on 197-9

Daniel Edwards was the best of the Morecambe bowlers with figures of 4-48 from 17 overs, Jamie Cassidy had 2-50 off 11, Stefan Dixon 1-27 from 8 with Louis Backhouse 1-26 from 6

Morecambe were soon in trouble with Peter Deeks caught behind by Matthew Crowther off Ian Walling for 0, 0-1, Luke Pearson soon followed again caught behind for 0 but off the bowling of Daniel Gilbert, 4-2

Luke Jongwe and Jamie Heywood stedied the ship but on 52 Heywood was bowled by Coen Oosthuysen for 14, 42-3, the score had moved on to 74 when Oosthuysen struck again having Ryan Pearson caught by Michael Walling for 19, 74-4

Things went from bad to worse when Luke Jongwe was bowled by Travis Pieters for 46, 83-5 then Pieters had Lloyd Smith lbw for 1 84-6, Daniel Edwards was caught behind by Matthew Crowther off Coen Oosthuysen for 0 85-7

Alex Briggs and Stefan Dixon dug in but with the score on 114 Oosthuysen had Briggs caught by Mark Winstanley for 25, 114-8, wihtout any further runs being scored Morecambe were bowled out for 114 in 43 overs.

Ian Walling taking the wickets bowling Stefan Dixon for 6 and doing the same to Louis Backhouse for 0, Coen Oosthuysen had figures of 4-41 off 16 overs, Ian Walling 3-31 from 8, Travis Pieters 2-20 off 11 and Danny Gilbert 1-18 from 8.

Leyland v Penrith

Leyland won the toss at the Stanning Memorial ground and decided to bat, they made 211-7 in their 50 overs thanks to Umar Waheed 91 supported by Tom Reece 56 and Henry Thompson 29, Jonathon Osborne took 5-53 from 13 overs for Penrith

Penrith lost an early wicket but Aswhwin Hebbar and Alister Craig took Penrith in sight of victory when Craig was caught by James Rounding off Umar Waheed for 68, Greg Hall quickley followed but Hebbar 105no and Greg Cameron 25no saw the visitors home in 48.5 overs on 213-3

St Annes v Netherfield

St Annes won the toss at the Vernon Road ground and elected to bat, the score had moved on to 23 when Andy Drake was caught and bowled by Nathan Chambers for 9, fellow opener Nathan Armstrong soon followed bowled by Harrison Cox for 10, 25-5

Richard Staines and Mohamed Nadeem looked to be getting St Annes on course for a good total when Staines was bowled by Liam Dugdale for 29, 72-3, Amar Ullah joined Nadeem and had taken the score to 108 when Ullah was trapped lbw by Robbie Dwyer for 7, 108-4

Jamar Ifill was Nademm's next partner and they took the total to 133 when Nadeem was caught by John Boyle off Robbie Dwyer for 47, 133-5, Dwyer struck again with the score on 149 having Jamar Ifill caught behind by Ben Barrow for 24, 149-6

Gurman Bains then did his best to give St Annes a score they could defend, he lost Tom Higson caught by Lewis Richardson off Harrison Cox for 3, 162-7, Thomas Bradley went on 181 caught by John Huck off Harrison Cox for 7, 181-8

Bains reached his half century with the last ball of the innings ending on 50no with Nathan Bend 9no as St Annes closed on 213-8

Harrison Cox had figures fo 3-47 off 17 overs, Robbie Dwyer 3-35 from 7 with Liam Dugdale 1-35 and Nathan Chambers 1-51

In reply Netherfield lost Ben Barrow caught by Tom Higson off Thomas Bradley for 0, 0-1, Tom Higson struck soon afterwards having Josh Dixon caught by Jamar Ifill for 4, 12-2

Unfortunately that was the last success for St Annes as John Boyle and John Huck took control to see the league leaders home in 44 overs closing on 214-2, Huck was 104no and Boyle 91no
