Once again the weather did us proud, there were wins for Netherfield and Blackpool, St Annes lose ground with defeat at Penrith

Fulwood & Broughton and Chorley win and Leyland have a winning draw at Morecambe

DIVISION ONE:

Barrow v Blackpool

Barrow won the toss at the Ernest Pass Memorial gound and decided to bat, the openers had taken the score to 20 when Ryan Gilmour was caught by Andy Furniss off the bowling of Matthew Grindley for 7

Grant Roelofsen joined Toby Mowat and they took control of the innings with a stand of 141 when Mowat was trapped lbw by Joshua Boyne for 69, 161-2

Only six runs had been added when Jack Hill-Eades was run out by Jake Muncaster for 4, 167-3, it soon became 174-4 when Matthew Grindley bowled Daryl Wearing for 0

Sam Henderson came to the wicket and with Roelofsen took the total to 194 when Henderson fell to the Furniss/Grindley combination for 13

Grant Roelofsen reached his century as Barrow closed on 209-5 with Roelofsen 101no and Glen Kermode 8no

Matthew Grindley had figures of 3-58 from 17 overs with Joshua Boyne 1-45 off 10

Blackpool lost Ciaran Johnson for 17 caught by Gary Collins off Daryl Wearing for 17, Joshua Boyne was next in and he and Matthew Houston began to move the game towards a Blackpool victory

Boyne made 48 caught by Ryan Gilmour off the bowling of Glen Kermode, Houston was out caught by Daryl Wearing off Gary Collins for 74, Jovaun Van Wyngaardt fell lbw to Gary Collins for 7

Andy Furniss and Jake Muncaster took the visitors within sight of victory when Muncaster was bowled by Daryl Wearing for 18, Blackpool won shortly afterwards closing on 210-5 with Andy Furniss 34no

Daryl Wearing took 2-43 off 13.3 overs with Gary Collins 2-48 from 13 and Glen Kermode 1-13

Fulwood & Broughton v Garstang

Fulwood & Broughton won the toss at the Highfield ground and elected to bat, they were bowled out for 211 thanks to Simon Kerrigan 90 and Matthew Smith 45

Danny Gilbert took 6-39 off 13 overs with Coen Oosthuysen 2-57 from 17

Garstang started off strongly with the openers Michael Wlalling 45 and Fayaz Ughradar 43 and no 3 Michael Welling 33 but the rest of the Garstang batsmen were contained buy the host bowlers and were bowled out for 187 in 46.2 overs

Jon Fenton had the best return of the Fluwood & Broughton bowlers with 4-24 off 10, Richard Turner 2-22 from 8 with Arbab Munir 1-36 from 17 overs

Morecambe v Leyland

Leyland won the toss at Woodhill Lane and chose to bat, they got off to a bad start with Ian Farrington caught behind by Reuben Orr off the bowling of Luke Jongwe for 1, 7-1

The second wicket soon followed with Tom Reece caught by Stefan Dixon off Jamie Cassidy for 6, 17-2, Umar Waheed and Henry Thompson steadied the ship and had taken the score to 92 when Waheed was bowled by Daniel Edwards for 47, 92-3

Ross Bretherton joined Thompson and they had moved the total to 130 when Henry Thompson was caught by Luke Jongwe off Stefan Dixon for 41, 130-4, Andrew Makinson was next in and with Bretherton took the score to 170 when Makinson was bowled by Jamie Cassidy for 11, 170-5

Ross Bretherton was the sixth wicket to fall caught by Ryan Pearson off Jamie Cassidy for 65 (76 balls), 189-6, the Leyland innings closed on 215-6 with Karl Cross 20no and Jake Peake 14no

Jamie Cassidy took 3-77 off 15 overs, Luke Jongwe 1-36 from 12, Stefan Dixon 1-35 off 10 and Daniel Edwards 1-50 from 13

Morecambe got off to a steady start and had reached 27 when Luke Pearson was out lbw to Ross Bretherton for 15, fellow opener Peter Deeks fell to the same fate lbw to Karl Cross for 20, 37-2

Luke Jongwe and Jamie Heywood moved the score onto 51 when Heywood was caught and bowled by Karl Cross for 3, Ryan Pearson joined Jongwe and they gave Morecambe hope with a stand of 70 when Jongwe was caught behind by Alex Williams off Ross Bretherton for 34, 121-4

Alex Briggs was the next wicket to fall caught by David Makinson off Ross Bretherton for 10, 145-5, Morecambe were moving towards their target but lost Reuben Orr caught by Alex Williams off Andrew Jacques for 12, 176-6

Andrew Jacques struck a blow for the visitors trapping Ryan Pearson lbw for 69 (75 balls), 185-7, the innings closed shortly afterwards with Morecambe 202-7 Daniel Edwards 20no and Stefan Dixon 4no

Ross Bretherton took 3-36 from 14 overs, Karl Cross 2-26 off 12 with Andrew Jacques 2-40 from 11

Netherfiled v Fleetwood

Netherfield won the toss at Parkside Road and invited the visitors to bat and had a quick reward Harrison Cox bowling Damien Hutchinson for 4, 9-1

Professional Neels Bergh joined Jeremy Davies and they had taken the score to 29 when Davies was caught by John Huck off Matt Jackson for 8, 29-2

Dean Bell was next in and with Bergh had moved the total onto 75 when Bell was caught by Bradley Earl off Marc Hadwin for 31, 75-3

Bergh's new partner was Liam Castellas and they had a partnership of 134 before Castellas was bowled by Harrison Cox for 67, 209-4

The Fleetwood innings closed without further loss on 237-4 with Neels Bergh 101no and James Gregson 16no

On a hard day for bowlers Harrison Cox took 2-57 from 12 overs, Matt Jackson 1-34 off 8 and Marc Hadwin 1-58 form 14

Netherfield like Fleetwood lost an early wicket Ben Barrow caught by Dean Bell off Alex Ryder for 1, 1-1, John Boyle joined Josh Dixon and they took the game to Flletwood with a stand of 174 when Jon Boyle was bowled by Jeremy Davies for 82, 175-2

Dixon followed soon after stumped by Liam Castellas off Jeremy Davies for 92, 191-3, Netherfield lost a fourth wicket that of Bradley Earl lbw to Jeremy Davies for 18, 213-4

That was the last success for Fleetwood as John Huck 32no and Lewis Edge 11no saw Netherfield home in 47.4 overs on 241-4. Jeremy Davies took 3-27 from 4 overs with Alex Ryder 1-26 off 7.4

Penrith v St Annes

Penrith won the toss at Tynefield Park and thanks to Ashwin Hebbar with 126 were 215-8 after their 50 overs with 27 from Greg Hall. Tom Higson took 4-66 from his 17 overs with Amar Ullah with 2-46 off 16 and Tom Bradley 1-27 from 6

St Annes got off to a bad start losing Muhammad Imran-Sadiq caught behind by Alister Craig off Greg Hall for 0, Andy Drake 54 and Richard Staines 42 gave the visitors some hope but they were bowled out for 159 in 47.4 overs

Ashwin Hebbar took 4-31 from 10.4 overs Henry Marshall 2-22 from 9, Greg Hall 2-23 off 9 and Samuel Hall 2-58 from 15 overs

Preston v Chorley

Chorley won the toss at West Cliff and put the hosts into bat, Preston had no answer to the Chorley attack and were bowled out for 59 in 21.4 over, Mohammed Harish top scoring with 16

Chris Harty took 4-25 from 10 overs, Ian Oakes 3-15 off 5, Staurt Naden 2-0 off 4 balls and Edwin Moulton 1-15 from 6.

Chorley had a shocking start loosing three early wickets Stuart Naden caught & bowled by Mohammed llyas for 8, Wian Van Zyl caught by Suhel Patel again off Mohammed llyas for 2, Will Moulton was next out bowled by Munaf Gurji for 6

Edwin Moulton 18no and Gayan Maneeshan 28no took over and saw Chorley home in 14.4 overs. Mohammed llyas took 2-29 off 7 with Munaf Gurji 1-9 from 5
