Blackpool and Netherfield win but Barrow hold out against St Annes, Wins for Fulwood & Broughton, Chorley and Leyland
DIVISION ONE:
Barrow v St Annes
St Annes won the toss at the Ernest Pass Memorial ground and chose to bat, they lost Henry Higson for 2 caught by Daryl Wearing off the bowling of Toby Mowat, 5-1
Jamar ifill soon followed bowled by Daryl Wearing for 4, 10-2, things did not improve when Mohamed Naddeem fell to Toby Mowat caught by Robin Adams for 4, 17-3
Captain Nathan Armstrong and Richard Staines began the St Annes revival and had taken the score to 44 when Armstrong was trappped lbw to Daryl Wearing for 15
Amar Ullah joined Staines and they moved the total onto 105 when Staines was caught by Ryan Gilmour off Gary Collins for 49 (58 balls), 105-5, Tom Higson was the next wicket to fall lbw to Jordan Nicholson for 13, 133-6
The incoming batsman was Gurman Bains and with Ullah they took charge of the innings taking the St Annes total to 230-6 after their 50 overs, Amar Ullah 83no (113 balls) and Gurman Baind 42no (38 balls).
Toby Mowat took 2-45 from 11 overs, Daryl Wearing 2-50 off 14 with Gary Collins and Jordan Nicholson takiing a wicket each
When Barrow replied St Annes struck early Jamar Ifill bowling Robin Adams for 0, 1-1, Ryan Gilmour joined Toby Mowat and they looked in control when Amar Ullah had Gilmour caught by Jamar Ifill for 24, 83-2
The introduction of Tom Higson into the attack reaped immediate rewards when he trapped Toby Mowat lbw for 62 (87 balls) 92-3, Barrow lost their fourth wicket on 99 when Jack Hill-Eades fell to the Ifill/Ullah combination for 4 99-4
St Annes were now taking control of the match with Tom Penny out for 4 caught behind by Richard Staines off Jamar Ifill, 114-5, Tom Higson struck when he bowled Daryl Wearing for 2 128-6
Glem Kermode and Grant Roelofsen gave Barrow some hope but Tom Higson ended that having Gilmour caught by Gurman Bains for 5 146-7, Gurman Bains was in action again catching Sam Henderson off Amar Ullah's bowling for 6, 153-8
Barrow had their backs to the wall when Ullah bowled Jordan Nicholson for 4, 179-9 but Grant Roelofsen 59 (65 balls) and Gary Collins 0no saw the home side to the close on 184-9
Amar Ullah took 4-49 from his 15 overs, Tom Higson 3-36 off 13 with Jamar Ifill 2-48 from 13
Fulwood & Broughton v Fleetwood
Fleetwood won the toss at Highfield and elected to bat making 260-7 off their 50 overs thanks to Liam Castellas 108 with support form Neels Bergh 44 and 39 from Declan Clerkin
The Fulwood & Broughton reply was dominated by a stand by Rana Pratap Singh Thakur Shiv 81 and Simon Kerrigan 75 who took the home team in sight of victory with contributions of 26 from Matthew Smith and 20 from Charlie Rossiter with Jon Fenton 11no and Dominic Jackson 1 no seeing them home in the last over on 262-7
Morecambe v Chorley
Morecambe won the toss at Woodhill Lane and decided to bat losing two early wickets but Ryan Pearson and Jamie Heywood steadied the ship, Pearson made 38 and Heywood 32, Alex Briggs 30 and 28 from Daniel Edwards saw Morecambe all out in the last of their 50 overs for 150
Edwin Moulton took 4-31 from 15 overs, Joe Barker 3-18 off 10 Stuart Naden 2-41 from 9 and 1-40 off 12 from Chris Harty
Jamie Cassidy took and early wicket but that was the end of the Morecambe success as Wian Van Zyl 107no and Gayan Maneeshan 41 saw Chorley home on 154-1 on 22.1 overs
Netherfield v Garstang
Garstang won the toss at Parkside Road and elected to bat, Michael Walling and Fayaz Ughradar gave the visitors a good start reching 81 when Ughradar became Marc Hadwin's first victim lbw for 26 81-1
Michael Wellings fell shortly afterwards lbw by Marc Hadwin for 6, 87-2, the visitors had reached 100 when Hadwin struck bowling Michael Walling for 57, 100-3
Marc Hadwin took his fourth wicket bowling Coen Oosthuysen for 1, 102-4, Mark Walling and Matthew Crowther dug in and took the score to 137 when Crowhter was caught behind by Lewis Edge off Marc Hadwin for 14, 137-5
Mark Walling and Ian Walling were in a stand of 63 when both fell with the total on 200, Mark was 60 when he was stumped by Lewis Edge off Marc Hadwin , 200-6, and Ian caught and bowled by Harrison Cox for 37 200-7
The eighth wicket fell on 218 Naqib Rahman bowled by Harrison Cox for 0, without further addition to the scoe Mark Winstanley was bowled by Marc Hadwin for 6 218-9, the innings closed with Garstang 227-9 in their 50 overs
Marc Hadwin had figures of 7-73 off 16 overs with Harrison Cox 2-60 off 13
In reply Netherfield had reached 10 when Josh Dixon was caught behind by Matthew Crowther off Ian Walling for 0, 10-1, Ben Barrow and John Boyle took command with a stand of 192 when Barrow was caught by Danny Gilbert off Ian Walling for 91 (137 balls 13x4) 202-2
Boyle and John Huck saw them home in 46.3 overs on 228-2, Boyle 111no (124 balls, 14x4, 2x6) and John Huck 12no, Ian Walling had 2-56 off 16.3 overs
Penrith v Blackpool
Penrith won the toss at Tynefield Park and chose to bat, they had reached 13 when Henry Marshall was caught by Andy Furniss off Matthew Grindly for 2 13-1, at 24 Ashwin Hebbar fell to the Furniss/Grindley combination for 20, 24-2
Matthew Grindley took the next two wickets Eddie Robson caught by Matthew Siddall for 7 46-3, and Greg Cameron bowled for 4 50-4, Alister Craig was next to go bowled by Jamie Thomson for 15 (49 balls), 54-5
The sixth wicket fell on 65 when Jonathon Osborne was caught behind by Ben Howarth off Jamie Thomson for 7, Greg Hall fell 4 runs later 69-7 bowled by Matthew Grindley for 8
Penrith were deep in trouble and Nick Hodgson and Samuel Hall worked to retrieve the situation and had taken the score to 102 when Hodgson was bowled by Jake Muncaster for 13, 102-8, Hall and Dan Morland took the total to 124 before Morland was stumped by Ben Howarth off Jamie Thomson for 5 124-9
The Penrith innings came to a close in the last of their 50 overs when Samuel Hall was run out for 43 with the hosts on 138
Matthew Grindley had figures of 5-40 from 17 overs with Jamie Thomson 3-28 off 7.2 and Jake Muncaster 1-18 from 6
Matthew Houston and Ciaran Johson got Blackpool off to a good start reaching 71 when Houston was bowled by Samuel Hall for 17, Joshua Boyne followed 1 run later lbw to Ashwin Hebbar for 0 72-2
Hebbar struck again bowling Johnson for 51 (61 balls) 75-3, Jovaun Van Wyngaardt and Ben Howarth settled things down and took the score to 92 when Howarth was caught by Greg Cameron off Samuel Hall for 9 92-4
Andy Furniss and Van Wyngaardt then took control and saw Blackpool home in 32.4 overs closing on 143-4 with Jovaun Van Wyngaardt 34no and Furniss 23no. Ashwin Hebbar took 2-31 from 8 and Samuel Hall 2-34 off 10.4
Preston v Leyland
Preston won the toss and elected to bat at West Cliff and were bowled out for 90 in 37.4 overs with Rizwan Patel top scoring with 28 with contributions from Mohammed Harish 14 and Suhel Patel 14
Karl Cross took 3-47 off 14 overs , Andrew Makinson 2-6 off 8 with Umar Waheed 2-7 from 4.2
