Nine games were played on a rain affected afternoon of action across Northern Cricket League Division One and Two.
DIVISION ONE:
Barrow v Penrith
Barrow continued to improve after they saw off Penrith by 91 runs.
Barrow all out for 201, Daryl Wearing was on form with 75 runs while Aaron Keverne Onyon made 51.
Bhanuka Rajapaska 4-77 and Greg Hall 4-51 finished with the most wickets.
In reply Penrith were skittled out for 110. Ryan Gilmour 4-15 and Daryl Wearing 3-18
Blackpool v Fleetwood
Blackpool and Fleetwood battled out a drawn game with the team from Stanley Park getting the winning draw.
Blackpool who saw Anurag Verma return home early due to injury saw Grant Thomson make an instant impact as he scored a stunning 130 off 116 balls in the host's first innings total of 235-8.
Fleetwood who have struggled so far this season battled well with Sam Bell finishing with a first innings return of 5-93.
In reply Fleetwood held on as they closed on 169-9 after being set a revised target of 225, while the overs were reduced to 46 after the rain fell over Stanley Park.
Grant Thomson piled on the pressure with a return of 3-29, while Richard Gleeson claimed 3-50. Tom Wilson scored an undefeated 49 off 68 as Fleetwood claimed 3 points.
Lancaster v Morecambe
Lancaster defeated Morecambe in a rain affected game at Lune Road.
The Weather disrupted the game in a low scoring encounter. Morecambe were all out for 81 off 38.1 Overs.
Kasun Madasanka finished with 5-27, while Ben Simm closed on 3-31. Iain Perrieman returned 2-23.
In reply Ben Simm's team knocked the runs off in 19 overs as they closed on 75-2 with the target reduced due to the rain. Jamie Heywood undefeated on 33.
Leyland v Chorley
One of the key games of the day saw reigning champions Leyland defeat league leaders Chorley by 9 runs in a dramatic contest.
Chorley would have been full of confidence after bowling Leyland out for 88 in just 25 overs.
Edwin Moulton in red hot form with an unstoppable return of 7-47. James Lee ably supported with a solid return of 3-37.
Tom Reece top scored with 17, while five other batsmen reached double figures.
In reply Leyland showed true grit and determination to bowl Chorley out for 79 off 40.5 overs.
Karl Cross and Steven Pallett claimed 4 wickets each, while Ross Bretherton and Will Jacques ended up with one wicket apiece.
Chorley fell short of the total with Andrew Holdsworth the top scorer with 17.
Netherfield v Kendal
The game between Netherfield and Kendal was rained off. Kendal batted first and made 41-1 with Ryan Shepherd and Oliver Tyson putting on a first wicket stand of 31.
Marc Hadwin claimed the only wicket as Shepherd was trapped LBW.
Both sides picked up 5 points each!
St Annes v Preston
St Annes defeated Preston by 3 wickets in a high scoring game at Vernon Road.
Preston were all out for 223, Matthew Grindley 6-56. Lukman Vahaluwala 83 and Sajid Patel 50, the main run scorers.
In reply St Anne's closed on 226-7 off 47.5 overs. Nathan Armstrong 57 and Gurman Baines 38 with the most runs.

Division 2 Round Up:
Chorley v Leyland
Division Two Champions Leyland picked up a 7 wicket win at Chorley.
The hosts were bowled out for 88, with Matthew Sedgeman making the most runs with 26.
Andrew Jacques ripped through the Chorley innings with a return of 6-10.
Leyland knocked the runs off thanks to the undefeated knock of 53 by Kurtis Watson as the visitors closed on 94-3 off 20.2 overs.
Fleetwood v Blackpool
Fleetwood picked up a winning draw with Blackpool.
Fleetwood closed on 214-3, Mike Clinning batted well for an undefeated knock of 74, Paul Willis made a useful contribution with 69 runs.
Blackpool held on to close with 118-9, Jack Wilkinson returned 3-27,Dylan Henshall 34 with the main runs for the visitors.
Kendal v Netherfield
The match was abandoned, each side was awarded 5 point each
Morecambe v Lancaster
Lancaster won by 4 wickets at Morecambe in another rain affected game,
Morecambe were all out for 110 of 28.3 overs, Lucas Atherton, Imran Ashraf, Nathan Baxter and Scott Sparks finished up with two wickets a piece.
In reply Craig Heywood and Stuart Phillips scored 22 runs apiece, after Lancaster knocked off a reduced target of 77 off 21 overs.
Penrith v Barrow
Penrith picked up a much needed 8 wicket home win against Barrow,
Dan Morland's return of 5-10 saw Barrow all out in the first innings for 173 off 33.2 overs.
Peter Deeks opened with a top score of 65, while Sam Henderson scored 54.
Penrith chased down the target as they closed on 174-4 off 37.3, Owen Jone's knock of 49 and Bruce Glendenning's knock of 41 proved crucial in the win.
Preston v St Annes
Preston claimed a winning draw with St Annes at West Cliff,
Preston nade 128-9 Mahmud Akhtar top scored with 36, Nathan Bend returned 5-38.
Amer Abbas Khans second innings return of 5-32 restricted St Anne's to a close on 108-7 off 40 overs.
