DIVISION ONE:

Barrow v Lancaster

Lancaster won the toss and invited Barrow to bat

The opening partnership were going well but on the introduction of Ben Simm to the attack it all changed

Dean Williams 28 became Simm's first victim and Toby Mowat 33 fell to Iain Perrieman.

There followed a dramatic collapse and only Daryl Wearing 57 showed any resistance as Barrow were bowled out for 166 in 41.3 overs

For Lancaster Ben Simm took 4-40, Iain Perrieman 4-67 and Kasun Madusanka 2-46

Lancaster's reply did not get off to a good start with the loss of an early wicket

Jamie Heywood 76 and Charlie Swarbrick 47 put Lancaster in a strong position but when they were out three more wickets followed giving Barrow some hope

Iain Perrieman 15no and Ben Simm 11no saw Lancaster home on 168-6 in 42.2 overs

The wicket takers for Barrow were Ryan Gilmour 2-9, Gary Collins 2-42 and Daryl Wearing and Aaron Keverne-Onyon taking 1 wicket

Chorley v Kendal

Put into bat Kendal had a great start with an opening partnership of 99 when Zachary McCaskie was out for 50

Two quick wickets fell Jason Dawes joined Ryan Shepherd and they took the score to 141 when Shepherd was out for 73

The Kendal innings struggled to 197-9 in their 50 overs with Dawes making 32

The wickets were shared amongst the Chorley bowlers, Will Moulton 3-28, Gayan Maneeshan 2-25, Edwin Moulton 2-48 with Chris Harty and Ian Oakes taking a wicket apiece

The Chorley reply had a good start but with the score on 49 both openers were out, Kyle Dixon 14 and Jack Bentham 30

This brought Gayan Maneeshan to the wicket who took charge with 101no comprising of 5x4 and 10x6 in 73 balls supported bt Edwin Moulton 21 and Will Moulton 12no

Chorley reached their target 199-3 in 44.3 overs

Leyland v Preston

Preston put Leyland into bat and they scored 234-8 in 49 overs with Henry Thompson the main contributor 108no

Thompson's innings was made in 122 balls scoring 16x4, he was supported by Karl Cross 32 and Andrew Makinson 27

Rizwan Ali was Preston's best bowler with 4-55 off 15 overs

In reply the top five batsmen all made double figures 3 in their 20's, Irshad Desai 27, Jitevdra Kumar 27 and Sajid Patel 24 as the innings faded and they were all out for151 in 40.5 overs

The wickets were shared between the Leyland bowlers, Ross Bretherton 3-56, David Makinsin 2-13, Henry Thopmson 2-13 Will Jacques 2-18 and Andrew Makinson 1-14

Morecambe v Blackpool

Blackpoolwere asked to bat first and scored 242-5 in their 50 overs, Tom Jefferson top scored with 90 well supported by Matthew Houston 54 and Anurag Verma 51

Edward Read and Tommy Clough took two wickets each and Lewis Smith the other one

Morecambe in their reply kept losing wickets on a regular basis and were 217-9 at the close of play

Edward Read with 53no kept Blackpool at bay with support from opener Viraj Bhati scoring 41, Ashan Priyanjan 25, Luke Pearson 19 and Tommy Clough 14

The Blackpool wicket takers were Tom Jefferson 3-51, Jake Muncaster 2-45, Anurag Verma 2-65 with Joshua Boyne taking 1

Netherfield v Fleetwood

Fleetwood won the toss and decided to bat and were bowled out in 43.2 overs for 187

Their professional Neels Bergh top scored with 84 with contributions of 38 from Jarrod Coombe and 22 from Tom Wilson

Marc Hadwin was Netherfield's beat bowler with 4-61, Lam Dugdale 3-32 and Joe Partman 2-21 were the other wicket takers

Netherfield were 58-3 when Obus Pienaar was joined by John Huck and they dominated play to see Natherfield home on 191-3 in 36.4 overs

John Huck made 85no and Obus Pienaar 62no, Sam Bell took 3-30 off 12overs for the visitors

St Annes v Penrith

St Annes invited Penrith to bat at Vernon Road and were all out for 179 in 48.2 overs

Jesse Dinnie held the innings together with 55 and then Kieron Trevaskis made 41 at a run a ball

St Annes sub professional Calvin Savage took 6-49 in 16.2 overs

In reply Gurman Baines held the innings together until he was run out for 44 as St Annes required 4 a over.

Matthew Derham took up the mantle with 28no to guide them requiring 4 off the last over which captain Matthew Grindley duly supplied with 3 balls remaining.

Division 2 Round Up:

Fleetwood v Netherfield

Fleetwood won the toss and chose to bat making a good start with Wayne Clarke 45 and Paul Willis 33 and Andy Singleton 33.

The innings closed after their 45 overs on 192-9 with further contributions from David Crawforth 22, James Gregson 13 and Will Reader 14no

Joel Bibby with 4-51 was the pick of the Netherfield bowlers

Netherfield went for the win with Brendon Herron top scoring with 37 and Theo Gallagher 28, Getthe Malinda Kamurugamuwe 21, Gary Baker 20 and Joel Bibby 21no

They were all out in the last over falling just 1 run short

For Fleetwood Jack Wilkinson took 4-46, Will Reader 2-41, Luke Wilkinson 1-34 and Wayne Clarke 2-52 including the match winning wicket

Kendal v Chorley

Chorley won the toss and invited Kendal to bat

Thet made 213-6 in theor 45 overs withFinlay Richardson top scoring with 56 supported by Alac Carradus 33, Paul Doods and Steve Watson making 28 and Mike Dugdale 20no

All the Chorley bowlers took 1 wicket each

The Chorley reply was a diaster with only Alexander Howarth 73 and Andy Flear 35 making double figures

The Kendal bowlers shared the wickets with Marcus Hill 3-21, Alec Carradus 2-17, Kuldeep Singh 2-23 and Andrew Dugdale 1-9

Lancaster v Barrow

Lancaster won the toss and chose to bat being bowled out for 176 in 45 overs

The main run makers were James Davies 49, Jordan Sparks 32, Lee Marshall 27 and Mark Cheal 23

Patrick Allington was the Barrow main wicker taker with 4-25 supported by Jordan Nicholson 3-50, Ben Carr 2-27 and Robin Adams 1-20

Peter Deeks with 12 and 48 from Patrick Allington were the ony early batting successes before a late rally from Matthew Adams 17 and Michael Voy 12 saw Barrow bowled out in 35 overs for 117

The wickets were shared amongst the Lancaster bowlers, Steven Armstrong 3-29, Scott Sparks 2-11, Nathan Baxter 2-18 with Imran Ashraf and Jacob Orr taking 1 wicket each

Penrith v St Annes

Put in to bat St Annes made 179-4 in their 45 overs

Alex Bradley top scoring with 54, 50 from Josh Taylor with contributions of 24no from David bartholomew and 15 no from Paul Wilks

In reply Penrith knocked off the runs in 43.5 overs making 183-2, Henry Marshall 88no leading the charge with help from Mark-Lucas Winspear 34 and Ben Crouch 36no

Preston v Leyland

Preston won the toss and invited the visitors to bat and they made 153-6 in their 45 overs thanks to Hamza Khan 54

Amer Abbas Khan took 3-22 for Preston

The Preston reply never got off the ground as they were bowled out for 88 in 28.5 overs with only Syed Ajmal Abbas Shah 53no making double figures

The Leyland bowlers shared the wickets with Michael Birchall 3-1, Steven Pallett 3-15, Laurence Shackleton 3-25 and Will Smith 1-3
