DIVISION ONE:

Barrow v Morecambe

Morecambe won the toss at the Ernest Pass Memorial ground and invited the hosts to bat

It looked a good decision when Barrow were 1-1, Toby Mowat joined Ryan Gimour and they took the scoe to 34 when Mowat was out for 13

Ryan Carruthers joined Gilmour and they had a stand of 60 with Gilmour out at 95 for 30

With the score on 111 Ryan Carruthers was out for 52 and Daryl Wearing with 10 helped Barrow reach 132-8 in their 50 overs

For Morecambe Edward Read tok 3-24 off 17 overs, Lloyd Smith 2-15 off 7 and Joel Derham had 1-27 off 6

Morecambe started well with the first wicket falling at 26 with Kauchi Siddque out for 22

The rest of the innings belonged to Daryl Wearing and Greg Reynolds who demolished Morecambe bowling them out for 45 in 21.1 overs

Daryl Wearing took 5-12 off 12 overs and Greg Reynolds took 5-26 off 10.1 overs

Kendal v Preston

Kendal won the toss at Shap road in a match reduced to 38 overs a side and put Preston in to bat

After the loss of an early wicket Geeth Malinda and Lukman Vahaluwala took the score to 40 when Malinda was out for 17

Irshad Desai joined Vahaluwala and they took the total to 67 when Vahaluwala was out for 41, Desai made 24 as Preston were bowled out for 116 in 37 overs

Saeed Bariwala demolished the Preston tail with 4-6 off 5 overs, Jason Dawes took 3-55 off 17 overs with Chris Miler 2-31 and Toby Tyson 1-19

Saeed Bariwala and Zachery McCaskie gave Kendal a good start with an opening stand of 41 when Bariwala was out for 15

Oliver Tyson joined McCaskie and they took the score to 61 when McCaskie was out for 35, Tyson was out for 14, Edward Price took charge and with 25no saw Kendal home closing on 117-6 in 34.3 overs

Sabbir Patel took 3-40 off 15 overs with Lukman Vahaluwala 2-14 off 9 and Jitendra Kumar 1-5

Lancaster v St Annes

Lancaster won the toss at Lune Road and invited St Annes to bat in a reduced maximum 62 over gme

The top three were in the teens Atiq Uz Zaman 14, Gurman Bains 16 and Andy Drake 16 but after that the innings collapsed and St Annes were bowled out for 71 in 27.1 overs

Lancaster only used two bowlers Ben Simm 5-36 off 14 overs and Charlie Swarbrick 5-32 off 13.1

Due to rain Lancaster were set the target of 64 off 28 overs

The openers Laurie Atkinson 14 and Lee Sparks 11 gave Lancaster hope but it was left to Charlie Swarbrick 12no and Brendan Hetherington 12no to see them home closing on 66-6 in 25.3 overs

For St Annes the League's leading wicket taker Matthew Grindley finished with figures of 3-16 off 13 overs, Tom Higson took 2-26 off 10.3 and Matthew Yeadon had 1-17
