DIVISION ONE:
Chorley v Lancaster
Lancaster won the toss at Windsor Park and decided to bat
They posted a good total of 191-9 thanks to Laurie Atkinson 47, Charlie Swarbrick 35, Brendan Hetherington 22 and Kasin Madusanka 20
The Chorley wicket takers were Kieran McCullagh 3-23, Will Moulton 2-18, James Lee 2-27 and Ian Oakes 2-35
Chorley struggled from the start losing two early wickets, Will Moulton 18 and Gayan Maneeshan 14 steadied the ship
When they were out Alexander Howarth 46 and Kieran McCullagh 18 fought a rear guard action to save the game and Harry Barclay 3 no and James Lee 4 no hung on as Chorley closed on 158-8
Kasun Madusanka with 5-28 off 15 overs strived to give Lancaster the victory they needed, Callum East took 2-35 and Charlie Swarbrick took the other wicket
Kendal v Morecambe
In a game vital to both sides in the relegation battle Kendal won the toss and asked Morecambe to bat at Shap Road
The Morecambe innings was a war of attrition as Morecambe were 34-4 with Tony Palladino making 18
Luke Pearson joined Ryan Pearson and they took the total to 58 when Ryan was out for 19
Edward Read joined Luke Pearson and but was out with the score on 86 for 18, Luke Preason was out for 22 with the total on 103 and the innings closed soon afterwards with Morecambe 105-9
The Kendal bowlers bowled tightly throughout, Chris Miller took 6-38 off 16 overs, Toby Tyson 2-11 off 7, Jason Dawes 1-16 0ff 10 with Saeed Bariwala 0-33 off 17
Kendal had to win but were 40-6 and looking well beaten when Joseph Dodds joined Edward Price and they took the score to 64 when Dodds was runout for 7
Price fought for a Kendal victory but was run out for 37 in the 49th over with Kendal 8 runs short
The Morecambe bowlers followed the Kendal example and were rewarded with victory, Tony Palladino took 4-28 off 16 overs, Tommy Clough 2-16 off 14, Edward Read 2-34 off 13.3 and Jamie Cassidy 0-14 off 5
Leyland v Fleetwood
Leyland won the toss at the Stanning Memorial ground and chose to bat
Only Ross Bretherton 23 and Tom Reece 16 made any impression of the top six, but batsmen 7, 8 and 9 turned the innings around with James Rounding 14 Kurtis Watson 43no and Alex Williams 15no as Leyland reached 130-7 in their 50 overs
The Fleetwood bowlers did well to restrict the Leyland batsmen thanks to Neels Bergh 2-28 off 17 overs, Joe Bell 2-20 off 7, Will Reader 2-23 off 7, Sam Bell 1-29 off 12 and Jarrod Coobe 0-20 off 7
The Fleetwood innings followed that of Leyland's with the top order collapsing and only Joe Bell 32 and Benjamin Reader 17 offering any resistence of note with no 10 Michael Wilson 10 and N0 11 Sam Bell 12no but the innings closed with Fleetwood bowled out for 95 in the 40th over
Karl Cross did the damage at the top of the order and finished with 3-16 off 11 overs. Andrew Makinson with 3-23 took care of the tail. Ross Bretherton took 2-19 and Will Jacques and David Makinson took a wicket each
Netherfield v Barrow
The champions Netherfield won the toss and put Barrow into bat
Barrow were 31-2 when Ryan Carruthers joined Toby Mowat and they took the score to 56 when Mowat was out for 26, Greg Reynols joined Carruthers and they had a stand of 64 to take the score to 120-4 with Carruthers out for 41
Greg Reynolds was out for 25 and the Barrow tail took the score 162 all out in 48.4 overs
For Netherfield Daniel Ingham with 3-30 and Marc Hadwin 2-30 were the pick of the bowlers
In the Netherfield reply Barrow struck quickly anf Had the Home side 8-2, unfortunately that was their last success as John Huck 108no (16x4 4x6) and Ben Barrow 50no (6x4 1x6) saw Netherfield home closing on 167-2 in 32.4 overs
Preston v Penrith
Penrith were invited to bat a West Cliff and were bowled out in 48.1 overs for 96 with only Nick Hodgson 26 and Jonathon Osborne 15no batsmen to reach double figures
The Preston bowlers shared the wickets with Sabbir Patel 3-22 the pick of the bowlers
Penrith made some inroads into the Preston innings but Lukman Vahaluwala 35no saw them home in 24.5 overs closing on 98-3
St Annes v Blackpool
This match was billed as the winners would be in poll position for 2nd place and would Matthew Grindley take the two wickets required to break the Clun amateur record
St Annes won the toss at Vernon Road and invited Blackpool to bat. Blackpool struggled from the off due to tight St Annes bowling and good fielding
Blackpool lost their first wicket of 10 to Matthew Grindley when Ciaran Johnson joined Luis Reece and they took the score to 48 when Johnson was out for 19 in Tom Bradley's first over
Tom Jefferson joined Reece and they took the score to 83-3 when he was out caught at deep long-on by Matthew Derham for 21 of Ashen Silva
Luis Reece fell with the score on 93 for 47 caught with a spectacular catch at deep mid-off by Atiq Uz Zaman off the bowling of Tom Bradley
The Blackpool score reat had been poor and Joshua Boyne stepped up the rate but Blackpool could manage 134-7 in their 50 overs Boyne being 30no
Matthew Grindley was brought on to bowl the last over and bowled Jake Muncaster to become the St Annes Amateur record holder taking his 63rd wicket of the season
For St Annes Tom Bradley had 3-54 from 12 overs, Matthew Grindley 2-21 off 14 and Ashen Silva 1-41 off 17overs
The St Annes reply was at 34-3 with Atiq Uz Zaman out for 19 when Richard Staines joined Ashen Silva, Staines took control and scored a superb 64no to see St Annes home at 135-3 in 29.1 overs with Silva a patient 32no

Barrow were put into bat at the Ernest Pass Memorial ground and were bowled out in 37.1 overs for 71
Graham Dawes top scored with 25 and Peter Deeks made 19, For Netherfield Isaac Medhurst took 3-9, Stuart Nixon 3-19, Theo Gallagher 2-9 with Scott Clement and Brendon Herron taking a wicket each
Netherfield took only 13.3 overs to knock off the runs with Theo Gallager 30no and Brendon Herron 30no to close on 72-1
Blackpool v St Annes
Blackpool were invited to bat at Stanley Park and scored 164-9 in their 45 overs with Dan Barling making 50 and Craig Brown scoring 46
St Annes were never in the hunt and were 92-5 after 45 overs with Andy Drake on 37no
Fleetwood v Leyland
Leyland won the toss and batted at Broadwater scoring 218-7 in 45 overs with James Chaplin carrying his bat for 120no with support from Jacob Wright with 42
Steven Pallett destroyed the top order taking the first four wickets, David Crawforth 21, Alex Ryder 41, James Gregson 17 with James Amor 23 tried to salvage something for Fleetwood but they were bowled out for 165 in the 40th over

Lancaster took 3 early wickets but Max Harper 47no and Ben Milnes 48no gave Chorley an easy victory closing on 109-3 in only 19 overs
Morecambe v Kendal
Kendal were put into bat at Woodhill Lane and made 178-9 in 45 overs thanks to Richard Dakin 38, Alec Carradus 28 and Ryan Nightingale 23
For Morecambe Andy Bird took 4-32 with Uzhar Ullah 3-35
The Morecambe top order collapsed with only Steven Fisher 19 making any inpression and No 9 Andy Bird 25 and 10 Uzair Shah 17 as they were bowled out for 95 in 30.2 overs

Batting first Preston scored 160-4 in 45 overs, Moshin Patel 80no caeeied his bat supported by Amer Abbas Khan with 31no
