The Northern Premier Cricket League provided plenty of action at both the top and bottom of Division One and Two:
DIVISION ONE:
Barrow v Kendal
Greg Reynolds starred with bat and ball as Barrow claimed only their fifth victory of the Northern League season with defeat of Kendal at Ernest Pass.
The home side won the toss and put their county rivals into bat, immediately seeing Reynolds claim the scalp of opener Zachary McCaskie for one.
Ryan Shepherd 22 was joined at the crease by Ben Phillips 85 and they started to rebuild immediately.
Following the loss of Shepherd, trapped lbw by Daryl Wearing with the score on 32, Phillips found support from Jason Dawes, who contributed 15 to a 45-run partnership.
Dawes's departure was the first of three victims for Gary Collins and saw the start of a steady succession of wickets to fall as Kendal were 150 all out in the final over, Phillips beibg the last man out.
Reynolds ended with figures of 4 for 32 from 12.3 overs, with Collins taking 3 for 23 from 12.
The Barrow reply saw New Zealand amateur Jamie Pinfold 28 dominate the opening stand of 21 before Dean Williams went for 3 and captain Toby Mowat soon followed.
Reynolds brought solidity and made 58 not out.
Though the middle-order collapsed, Sam Henderson came in at number nine and made 29 not out, working alongside Reynolds to ensure a three-wicket win at 151 for 7 after 46 overs.

Lancaster v Fleetwood
Fleetwood defeated Lancaster by six wickets,
Visiting Captain Dean Bell won the toss and opted to bat second in what proved to be a fairly straightforward victory for Fleetwood.
Lancaster openers Danny Welbourne and Reuben Orr both managed just four runs each before being dismissed,
Welbourne was bowled by Sam Bell 1-36 while Orr was caught by Jarrod Coombe of the bowling of Joseph McCluskie 1-19.
Home captain Charlie Swarbrick was Lancaster's leading run scorer with a knock of 37 but he became one of Neels Bergh's five victims of the day,Dean Bell taking the catch.
Bergh also removed Kieran Moffat 18 Tom Wilson catching, while Joe Bell 3-25 got rid of Kasun Madusanka 17 LBW.
Luke Phillips managed eight runs before Bergh claimed another wicket, LBW, and Joe Bell removed Ben Simm, who could only muster a single run.
The brilliant Bergh struck again when claiming Lee Sparks's 2 wicket, and he also removed Callum East 0 LBW as Lancaster's innings came to a close,
Joe Bell taking the wicket of Scott Sparks 0 as the hosts were bowled out for 107.
It only took Fleetwood 24.1 overs to reach their target, with the loss of just four wickers.
Dean Bell didn't last long, going for nought off bowling of Madusanka 1-27, Welbourne taking the catch, but Matt Clark and Bergh 43no combined well to take the game away from the hosts.
Clark eventually went for 52, Orr taking the catch off the bowling of East 2-26, while Simm took the wicket of Joseph McCluskie 0, caught by Liam Moffat.
Alex Ryder 1 was East's second victim, but the visitors reached their required total with ease to claim 15 points.
Morecambe v Chorley
Chorley defeated Morecambe by 84 runs in a crucial win for Andrew Holdsworth's Team, while Morecambe's woes continued.
Opener Mark Woodhead 29 and Jake Smith 12 were the only batsmen to make double figures for the hosts as Chorley dismissed Morecambe for just 65 after setting them a target of 150.
Home captain, Ryan Pearson, won the toss and elected to field first as Morecambe made a decent start.
Chorley opener Matthew Sedgeman 0 became the first victim of Tony Palladino 4-42, Pearson taking the catch, while Edwin Moulton managed to reach double figures before falling LBW to Tommy Clough 2-47 for 16.
Will Moulton was caught and bowled by Palladino after picking up just eight runs, but the star of the Chorley innings was Gayan Maneeshan as he really took the game to Morecambe.
The Chorley man managed seven fours and three sixes in what proved to be a decisive innings, scoring 90 runs off 93 balls before falling to Jamie Cassidy 4-35.
There were few other significant batting performances by the Chorley order Alexander Howarth 6 was caught by Lewis Smith off Cassidy, Kyle Dixon 5 was caught by Damien Gudgeon off Clough's bowling, and captain Andrew Holdsworth 6 fell LBW to Palladino.
Palladino struck again to remove Harry Barclay 4, while Cassidy took the wickets of Andy Flear 0 and Chris Harty 5 as the visitors finished on 149 all out from 47.5 overs.
Eddy Read also had a spell with the ball, finishing with figures of 0-22 from his five overs.
Morecambe's response was very disappointing Woodhead managed four boundaries in his knock of 29 but when he was run out by Maneeshan the hosts struggled to kick on.
Lewis Smith and Palladino both failed to trouble the scorers, both were bowled by Edwin Moulton 4-19, while skipper Pearson managed just six before being dismissed LBW off James Lee 1-19.
Will Moulton 1-8 bowled Adam Derham 3 before Chris Harty 3-13 found his rhythm as he took the wickets of Luke Pearson 5, who was caught by Matthew Sedgeman, and he bowled Tommy Clough and Eddy Read with neither batsmen scoring a single run.
Jake Smith did at least reach double figures, scoring 12 off 44 balls, but he too soon went, Edwin Moulton claiming the wicket as Sedgeman took the catch.
Cassidy managed three runs but Edwin Moulton finished things off to earn his side a valuable 15 points when he bowled the Morecambe man.
Netherfield v Preston
Netherfield Cricket Club's relentless winning form at top of Northern Premier League continued as they picked up a dominant five-wicket victory against Preston.
Nathan Chambers returned figures of 3-13 as Preston were all out for 73, while Josh Dixon's undefeated knock of 25 off 57 balls saw Netherfield close their reply on 75-5 off 24.1 overs.
After winning the toss and electing to field, Daniel Ingham trapped Geeth Malinda LBW for a first ball duck as Preston were 0-1 off the first delivery.
Netherfield continued to apply the pressure as Chambers dismissed Yasin Patel, Moshin Patel and Irfan Patel as Preston toiled onto 22-4.
Chambers bowled well as Yasin Patel picked out Brad Earl, before Moshin Patel was caught behind by Lewis Edge. Irfan Patel was walking having scored just three runs when he was clean bowled by the Netherfield bowler.
The wickets continued to fall as Ingham bowled Mahmud Akthar as the New Zealander picked up figures of 2-19 as Preston were 23-5.
Preston captain and professional Lukman Vahaluwala offered some resistance with a top score of 23 as the visitors moved onto 44.
However, Lewis Richardson was brought into the attack and sent Vahaluwala walking back to the pavilion when John Huck took an excellent catch.
The departure of Preston's key talisman saw another collapse as Richardson picked up the wicket of Mohammad Ilyas before Tom Williamson despatched of Jitendra Kumar who was caught behind by Edge as the visitors struggled onto 44-8.
Rizwan Ali hit a quickfire 20 off 40 balls as Preston moved onto 72, before Obus Pienaar cleaned the tail up after claiming the wicket of Amjad Malik who was caught by Ben Barrow, before the South African bowled Andrew Starkie as Preston were all out for 73.
With a low total to chase, Netherfield captain Ben Barrow changed the batting order and opened with Brad Earl and Edge who put on a first-wicket stand of 28.
However, Netherfield from a strong position lost two quick wickets as Starkie bowled Earl before despatching of Edge who was trapped LBW.
Netherfield were under further pressure when Vahaluwala bowled Obus Pienaar for 0, while Starkie finished with a return of 3-30 after taking the wicket of Richardson who picked out Vahaluwala as Netherfield fell onto 39-4.
Williamson and Josh Dixon offered some brief respite as Netherfield moved onto 51 before Williamson fell for two off the bowling of Vahaluwala.
However, Dixon and Barrow closed the game out as Netherfield finished on 75-5 off 24.1 overs. Dixon undefeated on 25 off 57 balls while Barrow closed on five off 14 balls.
St Annes v Leyland
St Annes picked up a winning draw against Leyland at Vernon Road,
The hosts were bowled out for 122 off 47.2 overs, Leyland's Ross Bretherton 3-31, Steven Pallett 3-26, Kurtis Watson 3-9.had the best bowling figures.
St Annes top scorer was Tom Higson with 38.
In reply Mitchel bolus picked up figures of 3-31, while Leyland's top run scorer was Ross Bretherton with 28 as the visitors held on at 111-9 off 52 overs.

Chorley v Morecambe
Chorley defeated Morecambe by 61 runs,
The hosts declared on 203-3 off 43 overs, John Dixon was undefeated on 74.
Nine man Morecambe battled in their reply before finishing on 142-8, Jack Bentham ripped through with a return of 6-48. Izhar Ullah dug in with an undefeated knock of 28 for the visitors.
Fleetwood v Lancaster
Fleetwood routed Lancaster by 9 wickets,
Mike Clinning's first innings return of 4-4 saw Lancaster all out for 55 off 35.2 overs, with Lee Marshall scoring 40 of Lancaster's 55 runs.
David Crawforth's undefeated knock of 24 eased Fleetwood home in just 11.2 overs as they closed on 58-1.
Kendal v Barrow
Kendal eased past Barrow by 4 wickets,
Barrow collapsed from 58-1 to 65 all out, Alec Carradus returned figures of 6-4 which including a hat trick.
In reply Kendal knocked the runs off in 24.4 overs as they closed on 69-6 with Mike Dugdale scoring 14, Barrow's Liam Howard returned figures of 4-27.
Leyland v St Annes
Leyland sauntered past St Annes by 10 wickets,
Michael Birchall returned figures of 5-16 as St Annes were all out for 68 off 44.3 overs.
James Chaplin's undefeated 35 and Jivtesh Rajus undefeated 32 saw Leyland finish 69-0 off 24.5 overs.
Penrith v Blackpool
Blackpool routed Penrith by 10 wickets in a rain reduced game,
Penrith were all out for 45 off 21 overs with Joel Watson having figures of 5-22.
Tomas Kings was undefeated with 22 and Sam Owens undefeated with 18 saw Blackpool to a comfortable finish on 46-0 off just 6.1 overs.
Netherfield v Preston
Netherfield won by 58 runs at Preston.
Netherfield were bowled out for 109. Isaac Medhurst batting at number 10 posted 28. Preston's Ahmed Mansoor returned figures of 3-17.
In reply Isaac Medhurst return of 4-16 and Scott Clements return of 3-10 saw Preston all out for 51 off 30.1 overs.
