Club Captain Josh Dixon shared his thoughts on his Team's Success

"It has been a fantastic season for me in my first one as Morecambe CC skipper. We started the season wanting a top 4 finish and a solid season something to build on with the bonus of a Lancashire Cup place to show for our efforts.

However the way we strengthened and have been able to reunite guys by bringing in a range of experienced heads has been a key factor in our success.

The introduction of Suraj Randiv and Eddy Read on the Northern League has been wonderful and the pair have been fantastic for us with the ball all season.

But more than anything we have been a team. Every single player at some point during the season has stood up and been counted be it Lewis Edge's 92 not out verses St Annes or Gaz Pedder's century against Fleetwood. Everyone has more than contributed to our success.

The team couldn't have done it without an active and fully supportive cricket committee and it has been wonderful to play as a part of a committed and successful Morecambe team. We hope we can continue this in the seasons to come"
