Northern League Champions Blackpool begin their defence in style, in a lively start to The 2015 Northern Cricket League Season.
Barrow v Fleetwood
Barrow won the toss and put Fleetwood in to bat. In their 50 overs Fleetwood were 155- 9 with proessional David King top scoring with 69. Daryl Wearing 4-34 from 12 and Dan Salpieto 4570ff 21 overs were the Barrow wicket takers
In reply Barrow were bowled out in 31 overs for 75. Ian Holland with 6-22 the Fleetwood hero
Blackpool v Netherfield
Blackpool began the defence of the Northern League title with a 110 run victory over Netherfield at Stanley Park.
The defending Champions went into the game without last seasons pro Christi Viljeon, so South African Juan De Villiers came in as Sub Professional.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the hosts got off to a bad start as they lost Richard Gleeson for 0 after being caught and balled by Mark Clarkson.
Netherfield debutant Dieter Klein then came into action as he bowled Paul Danson, with Blackpool on 43-2.
With Netherfield on top, Mark Clarkson struck getting the prize wicket of Juan De Villiers for just 6. Blackpool then lost a fourth wicket with the champions now on 74-4, after Matthew Houston was caught by Dan Gaunt off the bowling of Nathan Chambers.
However Blackpool steadied the innings as they made it to 118 with Stephen Twist the next to be dismissed for 31 off 32 balls, after being bowled by Dieter Klein.
The Twist wicket crucial for Netherfield as both he and Andy Furniss were looking to push Blackpool onto a big first innings score.
Netherfield with the momentum took the wicket of Andy Furniss being caught by Brad Earl off the bowling of Richard Potter, Furniss going for a top scoring 36 off 67 balls.
Marc Brown's team then had Blackpool 7 down for 144 with Michael Penney being bowled by Richard Potter.
However Blackpool managed to take the score to 164 and despite Boyne going for a steady 18 off 51 being bowled by Mark Clarkson.
Blackpool closed on 174-9 off 50 overs, with Mark Clarkson getting his fourth wicket as Ben Howarth was caught by Dieter Klein. Clarkson returning figures of 4-42.
In reply Netherfield were blown away for just 64 in just 17.3 overs. Only two Netherfield players making it into double figures.
Richard Gleeson to hot to handle, returning blistering figures of 5-31. Juan De Villiers also in dominant form as he returned figures of 4-28.
In the end an emphatic win after a difficult first innings for the defending League Champions.
Chorley v Leyland
Richardt Frentz figured in Leylands 73 run victory at Chorley. Leyland finnishing on 192-7. Overseas player Frenz top scoring with 56, whilst Andrew Makinson hit a half century. In reply Chorley were all out for 119 in 46 overs.
David Makinson with figures of 4-15, whilst Karl Cross also weighed in with figures of 3-25
Kendal v Lancaster
Lancaster began the 2015 season with a 111 run win at Kendal, Lancaster batting first closed on 183-9. Ben Simm's side recovering from 53-5.
Lancaster's Iain Perrieman top scoring with 40 whilst Skipper Ben Simm closed on an unbeaten 31 off 40 guiding his side to a competitive total.
Kendal Captain Chris Miller returning figures of 3-36, with South African Professonal Eldred Hawkens returning figures of 2-29 off 15 overs, whilst Stu Parkin and Saeed Bariwala also claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply Kendal were all out for 72 in just 32 overs, Iain Perrieman, Liam Moffat and Ben Simm with 3 wickets each.
Penrith v Preston
Penrith eased past Preston with a dominating 296 runs. Preston's Mya Ahmed Lunat sustaining a nasty hand injury in the field and he was unable to bat
Kris Mclean's declared in the 44th over with the score 333-4. Ryan Carruthers with 110 off just 75 balls and Alex Atkinson unbeaten on 108 off just 60 balls.
Preston were all out for 37 in just 18 overs, Paul Hindmarch with figures of 5-17, Greg Hall returning 3-16.
St Annes v Darwen
Darwen get a winning draw at St Annes in a high scoring game. Darwen closing on 284-6 thanks to Ammer Mirza with 68, Jordan Clarke 58 not out and Scott Jackson 46
In reply St Annes started well with Andy Holt 71, and Andy Kellett with 67. but John Cordingley returning figures of 6-39 reducing St Annes to 202 - 9 with Matthew Taaffe 18no and Matthew Grindley 6no seeing the game out

St Annes won a close game at Darwen by 13 runs. St Annes doing well to claim the win after being bowled out for 127 in 44.2 overs.
Sajid Nalbandh top scoring with 42 whilst Darwens Sam Painter returned figures of 5-20.
In reply Darwen were all out in the 38th over for 114, Richard Thomas returning figures of 3-8, Kevin Reid returning figures of 3-29.
Fleetwood v Barrow at Haw-Coat Park CC
Flletwood won the toss and batted making 170 - 9, Michael Clinning top scoring with 38. Paul Riley tood 5-22 for Barrow
In reply barrow were bowled out for 79 in 31 overs Josh Heaney 4-23 the main wicket taker for Fleetwood

Lancaster v Kendal
Lancaster made a dream start to the season after defeating Kendal by 4 wickets at Lune Road. Kendal were skittled out for 119 in 42.4 overs, Lewis Richardson top scoring with 45. Steven Armstrong ripping through the Kendal innings with figures of 6-23.
The hosts knocking the runs off in 43.2 overs reaching their target of 120 for the loss of 6 wickets, a skippers knock of 58 no out off 124 balls by Alex Metcalfe easing Lancaster to victory.
Leyland v Chorley
Leyland edge out Chorley by 2 wickets, Chorley were all out for 139 in 45 overs. James Rounding returning figures of 4-42.
Leyland were made to fight for their victory knocking the runs off in 44.4 overs, finnishing on 142-8 with James Rounding making a major contribution with 64.
Chorley's James Barker returned figures of 6-33.
Netherfield v Blackpool
Netherfield made light work of Blackpool in a 10 wicket win at Parkside Road, The game over by 2.55pm.
Blackpool put in by the hosts were blown away in just 19.4 overs for 41, debutant Joe Portmann ripping through the visitors with figures of 4-13 supported by Matthew Clinton with figures of 3-0.
In reply Netherfield knocked off the runs in just 8 overs closing on 45 - 0, Craig Walmsley scoring an unbeaten 31 off just 27 balls to see them home to a 10 wicket victory
Preston v Penrith
Preston won the toss and invited Penrith to bat. The were 146 - 9 after 45 overs, Samuel Hall making 48 supported by Eddie Robson 26 and Ted Stamper with 24. Omer Sabir took 3-30 for Preston
In reply Preston were bowled out for 76, Amer Abbas Khan 29no and Altaf Ahmed the only Preston batsmen to reach double figures. Nick Hodgson did the damage for Penrith with 5-12
