On a gorgeous sunny day Darwen with their 15 point win against Leyland's 12 point victory gives them a 3point gap at the top. The Suprise appearance of Andrew Flintoff for St Annes meant a big crowd and press attendence at Vernon Road
DIVISION ONE:
Barrow v Kendal:
Kendal won the toss and invited Barrow to bat. They were bowled out in 45.2 overs for 153, Sam Dutton 60 and Kaustubh Pawar 44 their top scorers. Stu Parkin destroyed the Barrow innings taking 6-53 in 22.2 overs with Jamie How taking 3-1.
In reply Kendal needed only 29.4 overs to knock off the runs 154 - 2 thanks to runs from Jamie How 75no, Ryan Shepherd 45 and an unbeaten 20 from Terry Hunte

Chorley v Leyland:
Chorley won the toss and decided to bat and thanks to Ian Dickinson 34 the the tail of Kieran McCullagh 59no with Will Moulton 10 and Billy Smith 15 helped Chorley reach the respectable totoal of 176-9. Steven Pallett with 3-22 was Leyland's best bowler
Leyland were made to fight for their victory with Overeseas Amateur Alex Ross with 112no keeping them in the hunt, he was ably assisted by Thomas Murray 20, Andrew Makinson 10 and captain David Makinson 9no to see them over the line
Fleetwood v Darwen:
Darwen batted first at Broadwater after losing the toss. They were bowled out in 44 overs for 140 and that due to a fine innings of 44no from Neil Cordingley and 24 from Chris Clarke and 20 from professional George Linde. Sam Bell bowled superbly and had figures of 8-75 off 22 overs
In reply Fleetwood could only manage 101 and were bowled out in the 41st over. Chris Stanhope 22 and professional Juan-Pierre De Villiers 21 top scored for Fleetwood and the Darwen bowlers shared the wickets around. Chris Wade 3-19, Neil Cordingley 3-31 and George Linde 2-5
Lancaster v Preston:
Lancaster won the toss and elected to bat. They made 183 in 48.5 overs thanks to Charlie Swarbirck 43 and professional Michael Barry 33. Soyeb Kapadia 3-30 and Saeed Bariwala 3-48 were Preston's main wicket takers
Jibran Khan with 57 gave Preston hope but they were bowled out for 106 in the 43rd over. Ben Simm took 4-25 for Lancaster

Netherfield v Blackpool:
Blackpool won the toss and asked Netherfield to bat. Netherfield were all out in the 48th over for 116. Marc Brown 42, John Huck 23 and Joe Atkinson 27 were their main run makers. Professional Christi Viljeon 4-48 and Richard Gleeson 3-34 did the damagte for Blackpool
After the loss of early wickets Blackpool were in trouble and rescued by Stephen Twist 59no and Andy Furniss 33no to steady the ship and then guide them home in the 22nd over and win by 5 wickets. Professional Saliya Saman with 3-44 was Netherfeilds best bowler
St Annes v Penrith:
Penrith won the toss and batted on a day when Ex England and Lancshire allrounder Andrew Flintoff made a suprise appearence for St Annes. Penrith made slow but steady progress against Mikey Harling and Lukman Vahaluwala and a big cheer went up from the big crowd ion the introduction of Andrew Flintoff.
The Penrith professional Paul Hindmrach was batting superbly and looking dangerous when on 65 he hit the ball back at Andrew Flintoff who made an outsatnding caught and bowled leaving an amazed Paul stood at the crease. Nicky Burns offered suppot for Hindmarch with 24. Andrew Flintoff's figures were 12overs 5 maidens 26 runs and 3 wickets.
St Annes were 26-2 then a stand between Lukman Vahaluwala and Nathan Armstrong 22 took the total to 88 for 3, Penrith then fought back and wickets fell steadily only Lukman Vahaluwala remained firm and his 76no from 70 balls was a match winning performance.
Paul Hindmarch 4-47 Jonathon Osborne 2-19 and Jack White 2-35 lead the Penrith fight back and it was left to David Watson to score the winning runs on this memorable day
After the match Andrew went on the pitch and stayed there until every person who wanted a photo or autograph got what they needed

Blackpool v Netherfield
Leaders Netherfield won the toss and put Blackpool in to bat at Stanley Park. In their allotted overs Blackpool were 161 - 6 thanks to Joshua Boyne 58 and Ash Moreau 29no.
Netherfield looking for the win were bowled out for 152 nine runs short in the 43rd over. Nathan Dixon 46 and Michael Dugdale 36 gave Netherfield hope but wickets from Joshua Boyne 3-34 and Sam Owen 3-44 gave Blackpool victory
Darwen v Fleetwood:
