This weekend Barrow gained the maximum points from their two matches. 15point victories over Chorley and Lancashire Colts. This leaves them one point behind early leaders Fleetwood in Division 1 with Leyland and Netherfield the Division 2 joint leaders
DIVISION ONE:
Barrow v Chorley:
Barrow defeated Chorley by 73 runs. Barrow reached 190 - 8 in their 50 overs Graham Dawson 69 held the innings together. Greg Reynolds 22 and extras 21 were the other main contributors to their total.
In repley Chorley were bowled out for 117 their professional Mohamad Jamal top scired with 50. Graham Dawson 5-13 and Daryl Wearing 3-29 bowling their side to victory
Blackpool v Leyland:
Leyland defeated Blackpool by 7 wickets. Blackpool won the toss and decided to bat first reaching 170 -7 in their allocated overs. Richard Gleeson 47, professional Christi Viljeon 31, Stephen Twist 28 and Matthew Houston 23 their main run makers. The spin duo of David Makinson 3-45 and Tayyab Afsar took the bowling honours for Leyland
Leyland replied 174 - 3 scoring the winning runs in the 41st over, Daniel Lamb 55 and Chris Parkinson had an opening partnership of 66 followed by Overeseas amateur Alex Ross with 48. Henry Thompson and Nathan McDonnell seeing Leyland home
Darwen v Leyland:
Darwen won the toss and asked St Annes to bat, St Annes were bowled out in 43.2 overs for 99. Lukman Vahaluwala 26 and professional Toby Bulcock 25 the only batsmen to reach double figures. Chris Wade 5-32 and professional George Linde with 3-17 off 15.2 overs destroyed the St Annes innings
Ammer Mirza 39 gave Darwen a good base and John Cordingley 39no saw Darwen home on 102 - 5
Fleetwood v Netherfield:
Fleetwood defeated Netherfield by 68 runs. Fleetwood battered first and made 179-9 , professional Juan-Pierre De Villiers top scored with 88. Nathan Chambers 4-46 and Saliya Saman 4-53 were Netherfield's best bowlers.
In reply Netherfield were all out for 111, Bradley Earl 34 their main run maker, Juan-Pierre De Villiers, Adam Parker and Josh Heaney each took 3 wickets
Kendal v Preston:
Preston were asked to bat are were bowled out for 178, captain Saeed Bariwala leading from the front with 69. Kendal were made to fight for their victory scoring the winning run in the 50th over and were indebted to Paul Dodds for his 66
The Penrith v Morecambe game was abandoned without a ball being bowled

Barrow gained a 15 point victory over the Lancashire Colts. Barrow won the toss and decided to bat and were bowled out for 136. Graham Dawson with 50 was once again the saviour of the Barrow innings.
In reply the Lancashire Colts were allout for 83

Leyland v Blackpool:
Leyland defeated Blackpool by 5 wickets. Blackpool were put into bat and were bowled out for 142, Joshua Boyne top scored with 34 and Will Jacques 4-30 was Leyland's best bowler

Morecambe v Penrith:
Morecambe won the toss and eleceted to bat making 208 - 5 Gareth Pedder 98 and Phillip Dennison 48 the major contributors. In reply Penrith were 122-6 at the close
Netherfield v Fleetwood:
Fleetwood lost to Netherfield by 68 runs. Netherfield put in to bat made 200-9 thanks to Craig Walmsley74 and Joe Atkinson 53, Tom Wilson took 5-47 for Fleetwood. When Fleetwood batted they were bowled out for 118 Liam Dugdale taking 5-18

Darwen lost to St Annes at Vernon Road. Asked to bat St Annes made 189-7 thanks to 50no from Tom Bradley and 41 from Geeth Malinda Kamburugamuwe. In reply 19 year old Mitchell Bolus 6-12 destroyed the Darwen innings assited by 17 year old Tom Bradley 3-11 being all out for 44
