Blackpool pull further clear at the top with victory at Kendal, whilst Leyland are left frustrated at Woodhill Lane in a key afternoon of Northern Cricket League action:
DIVISION ONE:
Barrow v Fleetwood:
Centuries from Indian Professional Kaustabh Pawar and Ryan Brown helped Barrow to an emphatic 128 run home win over Fleetwood.
Pawar who hit a top scoring 124 off 145 balls and Ryan Brown hit 103 off 102 balls saw Barrow declare in the 48th over on a dominant score of 261-3.
Fleetwood struggled in their reply as Indian Professional Kaustabh Pawar ripped through the visitors with impressive figures of 5-5. Ryan Brown also bowling well returning with figures of 3-48 as Fleetwood were all out for 133 in 36.1 overs.
Adam Sharrocks top scoring with 42 off 84 balls in an otherwise miserable afternoon for the visitors.
Chorley v Penrith:
Chorley fresh from their National Knockout victory over York, defeated Penrith by 5 wickets at Windsor Park.
The visitors, who put themselves in from the toss, were all out for 178 in 49.5 overs. David Fisher the top wicket taker returning figures of 3-15.
Penrith's Jack White was their top scorer with an unbeaten 53 off 69 balls, whilst Professional Paul Hindmarch batted well for 46 off 53 balls.
In reply Chorley knocked the runs off in 33 overs, Mohammed Jamal top scoring with 58 off 60, and Ian Dickinson with 53 off 68 as Chorley closed on 180-5.
Kendal v Blackpool:
League leaders Blackpool continue to dominate at the top of Division One after a comfortable 9 wicket victory at Kendal.
Namibian Professional Christi Viljoen ripping through Stu Parkin's team with figures of 7-19.
A stunning performance by the Namibian Professional as Kendal were left stunned as they were bowled out for 46 in just 28.1 overs. Richard Gleeson also bowling well with figures of 3-25.
Blackpool cruising home in their reply knocking the runs off in just 12.2 overs closing on 47-1. Richard Gleeson unbeaten on 31 off 37 balls.
Morecambe v Leyland
Leyland were left frustrated with a winning draw at Morecambe. The defending league champions batted well in the first innings closing on 231-6.
Nathan McDonnell with 82 from 98 balls and Andrew Makinson with an unbeaten 65. Kelly Smuts and Yakub Bhamji both taking 3 wickets each.

In reply Morecambe held on at 159-9. Yakub Bhamji batting at number 9 with an unbeaten 31. Karl Cross and Tayyab Afsar with 3 wickets each as Leyland lose some ground on Blackpool at the top.
Preston v Darwen:
South African Professional George Linde was the star of the show as he hit a century before taking 7 wickets as Darwen ease to a 75 run win at Preston.
Darwen batted first and were all out for 172, George Linde with 109 and Preston captain Saeed Bariwala taking 7-43, Preston were skittled out for 98 in 45 overs with George Linde taking 9-32 on 20 overs.
St Annes v Lancaster
St Annes continue their good run of form after defeating Lancaster by 5 wickets at Vernon Road.
Lancaster batting first were all out in 49.5 overs for a useful score of 232. Opener Kieran Moffat with an excellent 69 from 108 balls and the middle order batting of Charlie Swarbrick giving the innings great impetus as he scored a half century from just 39 deliveries. Lukman Vahluwala returning figures of 4-56.
St Annes chased the score down in 49.5 overs as they closed on 236-5. The backbone of the run chase from opener Adam Holt who hit a top scoring 84 off 116 balls, which included sixteen 4's and one 6.
Nathan Bolus's unbeaten 32 and Matthew Taaffe with an unbeaten 14 hitting a six to seal the game for Andy Kellett's team.

Leyland widen the gap after their winning draw against Morecambe
Blackpool v Kendal:
Blackpool eased past Kendal by 9 wickets at Stanley Park. Kendal were all out for 136 in 41.2 overs. Matthew Middlehurst returning figures of 5-6. James Lester top scoring with 32 for the visitors.
Sam Owen's team knocked the runs off in just 22.5 overs closing on 137-1. Gurmandeep Bains unbeaten on 57 off 49 balls and Tom Jefferson unbeaten on 43 off 52 balls
Darwen v Preston:
Darwen defeat bottom side Preston by 5 wickets. The visitors were restricted to 115-9. Graham Dobson making an unbeaten 60 for the team from West Cliff.
The wickets were shared out, Sam Painter, Kevin Brown and Ronald Nairey with 2 wickets. Mark Emery and Zach Whalley with 1.
Darwen knocked the runs off in 36.2 overs. John Painter with 56, Ammer Abbas Kahn returning figures of 4-25 as Darwen closed on 116-5.
Lancaster v St Annes:
St Annes won at Lancaster by 7 wickets, Lancaster were restricted to 144-9. Steven Armstrong 41, Scott Sparks 37.

Leyland v Morecambe:
It was the battle of the top 2 as league leaders Leyland take a winning draw against second placed Morecambe.
Dale Vardy with 98 and Tom Reece with 85 saw Leyland close on 252-5. Morecambe held on at 160-8, Matthew Derham 41 and Michael Fisher 39. Will Jacques had figures of 4-35.
Penrith v Chorley:
Chorley get a winning draw at Penrith, the visitors closing on 192-9. Ian Oakes top scoring with 70. Will Tyson returning figures of 4-53 for the hosts.
Penrith were 109-9 at the close, Mark Osborne with an unbeaten 32, Michael Mead returning figures of 4-22, and Ian Oakes 3-20.
