The Northern League basked in glorious sunshine as both Barrow and Leyland lead the way at the top of Division 1.
There were also big wins for both St Annes and Lancaster who climb up the table in another action packed afternoon of Northern League
DIVISION ONE
Preston v Barrow
Barrow's professional Pieter Malan hit an unbeaten 122 off 140 for the league leaders, as they remain top of the division following an emphatic 123 run victory at Preston.
Malan was standing in for Jonathan Wells who will be available for Barrow's Bank Holiday Monday clash with St Annes.
The South African who used to pro for Barrow and currently plys his trade at Ramsbottom, put on a commanding 2nd wicket partnership of 146 with Nicky Burns who got 52 off 52 balls, as the leaders posted a dominating total of 226-2, declaring in the 39th over.
Preston struggled in their reply as Patrick Allington (4-24) and Gary Collins (4-24), ripped through the hosts batting , with only Soyeb Dukanwala making an impact with 40 off 67 balls.
The hosts were all out for 103 in 44.2 overs as Barrow continue to impress.
Blackpool v Leyland
At Stanley Park, Leyland professional Luis Reece continues to impress as he hit an unbeaten 115 off 107 to help David Makinsons team to a 8 wicket win over Blackpool
Reece's century included 16 fours and 2 sixes, as Leyland chased down Blackpools first innings total of 206-4, reaching 207-2 in 37.4 overs.
Earlier Stephen Twist hit an unbeaten 64, whilst Alex Smith posted 35 off 41 balls, helping Blackpool to a competitive score.

St Annes v Chorley
St Annes move up to third in the table following a seven wicket home win over Chorley.
Andrew Holdsworth's team were restricted to 163-7, Will Moulton 37 and Stuart Naden 31 top scored for Chorley. Matthew Grindley taking 3-50, whilst Toby Bulcock also weighed in with figures of 2-62.
The hosts easing home in 45 overs reaching 164-3, Nathan Bolus with an unbeaten 53 off 82 balls, whilst Andy Kellett 36 off 58 balls, Lukman Vahaluwala 36 off 36 balls and Matthew Taaffe 20 off 49 balls also chipped in with key runs.
Kendal v Lancaster
Lancaster climb up to 4th in the league with a surprise 3 wicket win at Kendal, the victory was even more impressive as Ben Simm's team were struggling on 44-5, chasing down Kendal's 139.
Kendal who were tipped by many as favourites for the division, got off to the worst possible start falling to 2-2, with both Darren Moore and Alex Doolan going for 0.
The hosts then fell to 74-6, before a rally of 42 off 62 by Nick Lewthwaite and a top scoring 49 off 103 by opener Ryan Nelson formed a recovery.

However Liam Moffat impressed for the visitors with figures of 6-33 as Kendal were all out for 139 in 45.5 overs.
Lancaster struggled early on in their reply, however Sub professional Ashar Zaidi hit a top scoring 64 off 96 balls, whilst both Danny Welbourne 18 off 62 and Joe Atkinson unbeaten 18 off 28 balls, put the visitors on course for victory.

Fleetwood v Netherfield
Defending League Champions Fleetwood got their season back on track with a comfortable 9 wicket win over Netherfield at Broadwater.
Netherfield were bowled out in for 66 in just 25.1 overs, Ian Holland with figures of 6-30 and Sam Bell 4-31.
In reply Fleetwood eased home in 14 overs for the loss of 1 wicket, as Adam Parker hit an unbeaten 55 off 49 balls
Morecambe v Darwen
Darwen picked up a winning draw at Morecambe, the visitors posting 236-5, Ammer Mirza with a top scoring 87 and Gareth Cordingley unbeaten on 64, Morecambe's wicket takers were Suman Shrestha 2-77, Vishal Tripathi 1-44 and Richard Cupit 1-38.

Division 2 Round Up:
Barrow v Preston
Barrow defeated Preston by a massive 232 runs at Ernest Pass. Michael Wellings hitting an unbeaten 178 off 119 balls.
Toby Mowat also impressing with an unbeaten 73 off 122, as Barrow declared on 271-0 in the 41st over.
The reply was short as Preston were all out in 14 overs for 38, Paul Riley 5-16 and Glen Kermode 5-16, ending up with identical figures.
Chorley v St Annes
St Annes had to settle for a winning draw at Chorley, Charles Boucher hitting an unbeaten 106 off 152 ably assisted by Mark Emsley 43 off 40 balls and David Bartholomew with an unbeaten 49 off 79, St Annes closed on 219-1 off 45 overs.
Kevin Reid put the pressure on the hosts returning figures of 4-12, however Edwin Moulton's unbeaten 21 off 37 balls and Michael Meads unbeaten 15 helped Chorley survive for the losing draw reaching 90-8.
Darwen v Morecambe
Darwen defeated Morecambe by 3 wickets at Birch Hall,Greg Lawrenson with 6-46 for the hosts as Morecambe were all out for 111 in 37.3 overs.
The hosts reaching 113-7 in 43.3 overs, with Morecambe's best bowlerd being Gert Maartens 3-25 and Tommy Clough 3-19.
Lancaster v Kendal
Kendal won by 3 wickets at Lancaster in a low scoring game, the hosts all out for 90 in 40 overs, Mike Dugdale with 3-20 for the visitors.
The visitors edging home in the 37th over for 91-7, Shane Hyland with an unbeaten 35 off 75 balls. Callum East returning figures of 3-14 for Lancaster
Leyland v Blackpool
Leyland's Nathan McDonnell hit an unbeaten 110, as the hosts had to settle for a winning draw in their home league clash with Blackpool.
The hosts reaching 202-5, Dale Vardy also contributing with 42.
In reply Blackpool closed 158 for 8, Sam Owens top scoring 29 crucial for the visitors. Leyland putting the pressure on with 3-37 by Will Jacques and 3-36 by Michael Birchall.
Netherfield v Fleetwood
Fleetwood eased to a 6 wicket win at Netherfield, the hosts all out for 102 in 38.2 overs, Keiran McGann with figures of 5-24. and Brendan Herron top scoring with 41 for Netherfield.
In reply Neil Jacksons 31 and Anthony Ellisons unbeaten 30 eased the visitors to 103 for 4 in 22.2 overs.
