Here is a round up of all the action in The Northern Cricket League as Barrow had yet another good weekend, as both their 1st and 2nd teams sit top of their respective divisions.
Barrow v Preston
Barrow had another good weekend as they won both their matches to further extend their lead at the top.
On Saturday they overcame Preston by 55 runs at West Cliff, Barrow were all out for 95 in 32 overs, with only Jon Miles making a telling contribution as he ended unbeaten on 72. Lukman Vahaluwala and Andrew Starkie taking 3 wickets each for the hosts.
In reply Barrow's Daryl Wearing and new professional Vaughn Van Jaarsveld each grabbed 5 wickets each with Wearing returning figures of 5-14! As Preston were all out for 40 in just 22 overs.

Barrow v Lancashire Colts
On Sunday Barrow overcame the Lancashire Colts by 7 wickets at Ernest Pass, after the Colts put themselves in Barrow bowled the visitors out for 96 in 44.1 overs. 3-33 by Gary Collins and 3-22 by Liam Livingstone the main wicket takers.
In reply Barrow made 100-3 in 31.3 overs, Ryan Brown 35 off 79, with Liam Livingstone's unbeaten 19 off 14 seeing the hosts home

Blackpool v Kendal:
Kendal picked up an impressive win at Blackpool, Chris Miller taking 5-28 with Blackpool making 142-9 off 50, with Adrian Darlington scoring 50 off 77. Jamie How also returned figures of 2-52.
Jamie How's 56 off 57 and Terry Huntes 28 off 33 set Kendal up for the win. Jack White 27 off 26 and Darren Braithwaite 18 off 34 saw Kendal home reaching 145 for 5 in 36.4 overs.
Carnforth v Chorley:
Carnforth won their 1st game of the season following a 63 run victory over Chorley at Lodge Quarry.
The hosts posting 187-9 off 50, Ryan Nelson the top scorer with 66, Chorley's Kieran Mc Cullogh (3-51) and Will Moulton (3-40) returning the best figures.
Chorley were all out for 124 in 38.3 overs, Adam Cowperthwaite taking 6-48, with Chorley Professional Gaurav Dhar hitting an unbeaten 56.
Darwen v Fleetwood:
Fleetwood defeated Darwen by 6 runs at Birch Hall, in a very close encounter,the visitors were all out for 164 in 48.1 overs, Adam Parker the top scorer with 53 off 93 balls, Darwen Professional Shaun De Kock returned the best figures with 6-35.
In reply Fleetwood Professional Shaun Liebisch returned figures of 6-55 as Darwen were all out for 148 in 45.4 overs. Shaun De Kock the top scorer with 30 off 31 balls.
Lancaster v St Annes:
St Annes defeated Lancaster by 7 wickets at Lune Road, the hosts all out for 67, as Dinuka Hettiarchchi returned top figures of 7-14 and Peter Cummings 3-23.
The visitors reaching their victory target in 22 overs as they ended on 69-3
Morecambe v Leyland:
Leyland got a winning draw at Morecame in a rain affected game which was reduced to 29 overs.
The visitors made 140-6 off 29, Andrew Makinson unbeaten on 30 off 21, the host struggled in their reply but held on making 56-9. Brett Pelser taking 4-13

Division 2 Round Up:
Barrow vs Preston
Its been a good weekend all round for Barrow as their second team sit at the top of the Division 2 following a 177 run victory over Preston. The hosts made a dominant 236-6, with Greg Reynolds top scoring on 88. Robin Adams also impressed with a high scoring 70, with Murtaza Hussain taking 3-65.
In reply Preston were shot out for 59 in 20.4 overs, 4-22 by Paul Riley and 4-18 by Patrick Allington returning the best figures for Ian Allingtons team
Fleetwood vs Darwen:
Fleetwood defeated Darwen by 111 runs at Broadwater, Chris Stanhope 56 helping the hosts to 182-8.
Darwen were bowled out for 71 in their reply Tom Clarke 4-18 and Joe Bell 3-24, the main wicket takers.
Kendal v Blackpool:
Blackpool won by 8 wickets at Kendal. Tom Myerscough taking 4-26 and 3-6 by Kevin Reid as Kendal were bowled for 62

A Very short afternoon for Leyland as they defeated Morecambe by 10 wickets, the visitors all out for 47, 3-14 by Karl Cross.
In reply Leyland reached 48-0 in just 11.5 overs, Chris Parkinson 27 off 39 and David Fisher 17 off 32
St Annes v Lancaster:
St Annes defeated Lancaster by 131 runs, the hosts declaring on 202, Matthew Taaffe unbeaten on 63 off 114. Callum Jones top scoring with 68 off 57.
