Division 1 Action
The Northern Cricket League entered into its third weekend and yet again their were more top quality matches with Maiden centuries for Morecambe Professional Umar Amin (175) and Netherfield Professional JJ Pienaar (100).
Heres a round up of all the action in what was anther top quality weekend in The Northern Cricket League:
Carnforth v Morecambe
Pakistan Professional Umar Amin hit 175 off 165 balls for Morecambe in their winning draw at Carnforth. Umar hit 19 fours and 7 sixes in that spell, with Morecambe posting a first innings score of 264-8 off 50.
Carnforth Professional Toby Bullcock continues to shine for the hosts as he took an impressive 5-98
In reply Carnforth held on for the draw reaching 180-3, with Ryan Nelson hitting an unbeaten 78 off 132 balls. Toby Bullcock also impressed as he hit 56 off 85 deliveries.
Netherfield v Preston:
At Parkside Road, Netherfield Professional JJ Pienaar hit his first century for the club as Netherfield picked up a 15 point win over Preston.
The South African Professional hit 100 off 113 balls in 176 minutes, Pienaar's partnership of 83 with Netherfield Captain John Mason led to the host's recovery after a slow start which saw them in trouble at 90-4. John Mason's knock of 60 in 48 minutes was also a crucial spell for the hosts who declared on 254-6 off 47!
In reply Preston were never in it as Chris Williams took 4-25, whilst Stuart Nixon (2-35), Marc Hadwin (2-20), and JJ Pienaar (2-31), all contributed as Preston were bowled out for 113 in 39.3 over's.

Darwen v St Annes:
St Annes early season struggles continue after the defending champions fell to a 9 wicket defeat at Darwen
Darwens Neil Cordingley (4-20) and new professional Shaun De Kock (3-30), helped Darwen bowl St Annes out for 79.
In reply Darwen reached 80-1 with Alex Davies and Daniel Fradd forming a partnership of 51 off 15 over's.
Chorley v Barrow:
Daryl Wearing took 5-22 in Barrows 5 wicket win at Chorley, Chris D'lenys team put the hosts in and bowled them out for 69, with Gary Collins (3-17) and Travis Townsend (2-30) taking the other wickets.
In reply 33 off 54 by Jonathan Miles and 26 off 56 by Ryan Brown helped Barrow to victory as they reached 70-5.
Blackpool v Leyland
Blackpool defeated league leaders Leyland by 5 wickets in the clash at Stanley Park. The hosts bowled Leyland out for 110, with Andy Furniss taking 7-50 and Rick Gleeson taking 3-19 off 17 over's. Leyland offered resistance from Adam Coates 36 off 71 and Andrew Makinson 29 off 48.
In reply Blackpool Professional Dale Deeb hit 45 off 83 balls, with Alex Smith hitting 24, as Blackpool captain Paul Danson ended unbeaten on 4 to see the hosts home reaching 112-5.
Leyland's Dale Jones took 2-19 off 9.5 over's including 2 in 2 balls.
Fleetwood v Kendal:
Fleetwood go top of the league following a 6 wicket win over Kendal in the clash at Broadwater.
Kendal won the toss and opted to bat, but struggled as they were at one stage 2-2 with Liebisch taking the wickets of Baker and How. Kendal then struggled to 43-6 off 21, before being bowled out for 109 off 41 over's.
Jack Whites 31 and Nick Lewthwaites 29 helped Kendal go past a hundred, whilst Fleetwood Professional Shaun Leibisch returned figures of 3-20!
In reply Kendal got into the hosts early as Stu Parkin grabbed the wicket of Mike Clinning, and despite wickets by Chris Miller and 2 by Jack White, Fleetwood saw the game home reaching 112-4 with Dean Bell the top scorer with 36.
National Knock Out Round Up
Sundays National Knock Out games were heavily affected by the weather!
At Woodhill Lane, Kendal defeated Morecambe on a bowl out after persistent rain and wind prevented any play, whilst at Parkside Road, Netherfield defeated Freckleton on the toss of a coin with heavy rain and wind also preventing any play!
Their was a also bowl out success for Garstang as they defeated Fleetwood at Broadwater.
The only game to take place was between Clifton and Carnforth as Clifton came out on top by 111 runs. Clifton's 17 year old Dean Morris scored 71 not out in Clifton's challenging total and cousin 18 year old Adam Holt scored 61 to set him up to chase his imposing 828 total from last season. Dean Morris then took 5-20 as Carnforth were skittled for 103.

Division 2 Round Up:
Barrow v Chorley
In Division 2 Richard Flood impressed for Chorley again after taking 6-29 in their 5 wicket win at Barrow.
Barrow being bowled out for 54 and Chorley reaching 57 for 5 in just 18 overs
Kendal v Fleetwood
At Shap Road Anthony Ellison took a stunning 9-26 in Fleetwood's 151 run win over previously unbeaten Kendal.
Anthony Ellison struck in the 2nd innings dismissing Kendal the hosts for 45 after being set a target of 196, Fleetwood's Neil Jackson top scoring with 56 not out off 55 balls and captain Wayne Clarke making 52. Andy Dugdale impressed for Kendal taking 6-41.
Leyland v Blackpool
Defending League Champions Leyland had to make do with a winning draw against Blackpools 2nds.
Leyland were put into bat posting 163-5 with Ian Dickinson hitting 86 off 126, whilst Blackpool's Ross Parker took 4-53.
Blackpool replied making 126-5 off 50 with an unbeaten 31 off 139 by Matthew Houston and the 26 off 65 by John Caunce as the visitors held on for a draw.
Morecambe v Carnforth
At Woodhill Lane Carnforth defeated Morecambe by 4 wickets, Morecambe being bowled out for 119 with Gary Baxendale taking 6-29.
In reply Carnforth reached 120-6 thanks to 33 off Glen Russell and 32 off Neil Dugdale.
St Annes v Darwen
At Vernon Road St Anne's defeated Darwen by 6 wickets,Darwen being bowled out for 112 with Tom Bolus taking 5-27, whilst Darwens resistance came from Zac Whalley who hit 45.
In reply St Anne's Wicket Keeper Callum Jones hit an unbeaten 79 to guide the hosts to victory as they reached 115-4
Preston v Netherfield
And finally at West Cliff, Preston's 2nds defeated Netherfield's 2nds by 8 wickets, the visitors being bowled out for 113 with Salman Naseer taking 4-29. Mike Duigdale top scored for the visitors with 48.
In reply Preston made 115 for 2, with Yasin Boda hitting an unbeaten 85 guiding the hosts to victory
