DIVISION 1 ROUND UP
Rain swept through The Northern League as only two games were played on an otherwise miserable Saturday.
Kendal v Barrow:
Kendal were denied 15 points thanks to the rain as they had to make do with a winning draw against league leaders Barrow.
The rain came in the 39th over as Barrow were struggling on 57-8, aiming to chase Kendals score of 144
Barrow winning the toss put Kendal in, with the hosts restricted to 144-8. Nick Phillips impressing with a knock of 34 off 108 balls. Barrow Professional Vaughn Van Jaarsveld returning figures of 4-54.

The second innings was delayed with the rain as 4 overs were lost, however when play resumed, Kendal were in total command as Barrow limped along on 57-8
Jack White ripping through the opposition with figures of 4-15, Stu Parkin also impressed with figures of 2-15. With both Chris Miller (1-15) and Werner Coetzee (1-8) taking vital wickets.
However the rain came to save the day for Barrow as Kendal take a winning draw in a game they deserved more from.
Kendal will take heart from the performance and are still in with a chance of the league title. Barrow on the other hand will be aiming to finish the job with only a few games left.
Not alot to report from all the other games, as the wet weather washed out the rest of the fixture list.
A lot of the grounds were under water whilst other teams saw their games called off during the afternoon.
Barrow still sit top on 202 points, with Fleetwood in second place on 194 points, Kendal meanwhile are in 3rd on 183 points, with Leyland 4th on 180 points.
The remaining fixtures for the Title contenders are
