Barrow reclaim top spot, whilst Fleetwood slip up in shock home setback to Darwen, in another action packed day of Northern League action
Barrow v Preston
Barrow replace Fleetwood at the top of the league following a 74 run victory over Preston at Ernest Pass.
The second innings bowling of Daryl Wearing (6-17) and Vaughn Van Jaarsveld (4-8) coming at a critical time as Preston were bowled out for 27.
It looked as if Barrow would be in trouble as they were earlier bowled out for 101, as Lukman Vahaluwala ripped through the hosts with figures of 6-41
However in the reply Preston's hard work was undone with the hosts bowling the visitors out in just 13.1 overs,picking up a huge 15 point win, a result which could prove crucial with the end of season just weeks away
Fleetwood v Darwen
Fleetwood's title aspirations suffered a set back as they crashed to a 5 wicket home defeat to struggling Darwen.
The hosts batting first were all out for 160 in 48.2 overs, Darwen Professional Shaun De Kock was their best bowler with figures of 4-37 and Tim Le Breton with 3-67.

Darwen pulled off the shock win in 44.3 overs reaching 161-5, as Shaun De Kock top scored with 68 off 70, whilst Scott Jackson made 63 off 113.
Kendal v Blackpool
New Zealand Professional Jamie How passed 1,000 league runs for the season as he hit an unbeaten 57 in Kendal's 7 wicket home win over Blackpool.

Kendal who continue to shine were impressive as they restricted Blackpool to 132-9, with the visitors opting to bat first
4-40 by Chris Miller and 3-36 by Stu Parkin doing the damage, whilst Blackpool's Adrian Darlington top scored with 48, moving him to 3rd in the all time aggregate run scorers for The Northern League.

In reply Kendal got off to a slow start however Jamie How's impressive knock of 57 not out and the unbeaten 49 by Terry Hunte eased the hosts home in 31.3 overs reaching 135-3
Leyland v Morecambe
Leyland defeated Morecambe by 20 runs at Fox Lane, the hosts setting a target of 153-6, Luis Reece top scoring with 41. Umar Amin taking 4-31 for the visitors.
In the chase Morecambe were all out for 133, Dale Jones with 4-52, and David Makinson 3-18.
St Annes v Lancaster
St Annes defeated Lancaster by 2 wickets at Vernon Road. The visitors batting first posted a score of 200-9. Timycen Maruma continuing to impress as he top scored with 67 off 100. Alex Metcalfe also impressing with a good knock of 40 off 90 balls.
Dinuka Hettiarachchi continuing to take wickets returning figures of 4-98.
St Annes edged home in 49.5 overs, With Nathan Bolus's 50 off 105 and Andy Kellets 40 off 77, as they reached 203-8. Ben Simm with 4-76 as Lancaster just miss out on victory.
Chorley v Carnforth
Carnforth picked up a much needed win after defeating Chorley by 38 runs at Windsor Park.
Ryan Nelson with 76 off 105 top scored as Carnforth were bowled out for 147, with Chris Harty taking 4-59 and Iain Critchley with 4-8.
Carnforth bowling the hosts out in 36.5 overs for 109, Adam Cowperthwaite with 4-34 and Toby Bulcock with 4-24.

Division 2 Round Up:
Leyland were held to a winning draw at Morecambe whilst Barrow further cement their lead at the top of Division 2.
Morecambe v Leyland
League holders Leyland were left frustrated following a winning draw at Morecambe, The visitors making 243-8, Ian Dickinson with 102 off 106. Morecambes Glynn Carroll taking 4-17
Morecambe held on reaching 152-6, Phil Dennison's 72 off 137 the main contributor, Liam Hurt with 4-39 for the visitors.
Preston v Barrow
Barrow go top of the division after a comfortable 9 wicket wins at Preston, the hosts all out for 40, Lee Hogg taking 6-27.

Lancaster v St Annes
Tom Williamson picked up a phenomenal 9 wicket haul as bottom side Lancaster made it 2 from 2 after defeating St Annes by 23 runs at Lune Road.
