DIVISION 1 ROUND UP:
Barrow reclaim top spot, Morecambe pick up an unlikely win at Kendal, whilst Fleetwood are left frustrated by the weather in a weekend full of Northern League excitement
Kendal v Morecambe:
Kendal were left kicking themselves after losing by 25 runs to Morecambe at Shap Road. It's a game which Kendal shouldn't have lost, especially after their first innings performance where they restricted Morecambe to a chaseable total of 138-8.
The bowling and fielding of Kendal has been in top form of late, as Morecambe struggled with Chris Miller taking 3-46. Nick Lewthwaite also impressed with figures of 2-36, with Jack White and Stu Parkin taking one wicket each.
Morecambe's Ikram Ullah top scored with 21 off 25, whilst Umar Amin made 20 off 59, The lower order helping the visitors to 138, with Gulam Maje (17), and James Law (16)
Jamie How picked up an injury in the first innings, but was okay to bat.
In relpy, Kendal's inconsistencies came back to haunt them as they struggled with the bat. They started well enough, with both Donovan Du Plessis and Graham Baker. However Umar Amin showed his class taking fantastic figures of 7-33. Morecambe on the verge of victory were left to resist a Kendal fightback with Jack White hitting a top scoring 28 off 34 balls.
However Morecambe held out with Amin taking the wicket of White as Kendal were bowled out in 45.2 overs for 113.

A victory making it 3 straight wins for Morecambe, for Kendal, it's a case of getting their batting right, if they can get that part of their game right, they will soon bounce back from the last 2 league set backs
Darwen v Barrow:
Barrow went back to the top of Division one after a 2 wicket win at Darwen in a thrilling contest at Birch Hall.
Darwen batted first posting a competitive total of 191-6, Professional Shaun De Kock with 88 off 133. John Cordingley making 41 off 58.
The wickets shared with Daryl Wearing and Vaughn Van Jaarsveld taking 2 and Gary Collins taking the 1.
In reply Barrow will be thankful to a captains knock of 57 off 81 by Chris D'Leny and the unbeaten 56 off 70 by Rhys Studt as they edged home in 47.2 overs reaching 195-8

Carnforth v Netherfield:
Netherfield suffered a further blow in their title aspirations as they ended up with a losing draw in the away league clash at Carnforth
The hosts all out for 188, Cobus Pienaar taking 4-63, Adam Hornby (52 off 40), and Toby Bulcock ( 51 off 56) for the hosts.
Marc Brown made 39 off 78 for the visitors, with Marc Hadwin making 27 off 30, however Carnforth's Darren Nelson returned figures of 4-44, as Netherfield closed on 150-7
Fleetwood v Leyland
The much anticipated clash between Fleetwood and Leyland was called off due to an unfit playing surface at Broadwater, following the rain they have had over the past few days Both sides taking 4 points each with Fleetwood back into second place
Blackpool v Preston:
Blackpool defeated Preston by 6 runs at Stanley Park, the hosts making 149-7, John Mounsey with 35 off 116.
Lukman Vahaluwala with 4-47 and Soaib Dukanwala with 3-47.
Preston just missed out as they were bowled in 47.3 overs for 143, Dale Deeb with 6-45. Lukman Vahaluwala the main scorer with 57 off 92
Chorley v Lancaster:
The game between Chorley and Lancaster started at 2pm, in a game reduced to 42 overs, Lancaster reached 142-8 off 42 overs, Timycen Maruma with 64 off 83 balls.
Chorley could only reach 81-7, Liam Moffatt 4-28 and Ben Simm 3-32 as Lancaster take the winning draw

Barrow v Darwen:
Barrow remain top after a comfortable 7 wicket win over Darwen, the visitors restricted to 133-8, George Smith and Lee Hogg taking 3 wickets.
Patrick Allington's 42 off 83 and the unbeaten 41 off 60 by Tom Milligan guided the hosts home as they reached 137-3 in 40.2 overs
Netherfield v Carnforth:
A much changed Netherfield team made it 7 straight league wins, after a 4 wicket home win over Carnforth.
Netherfield had a lot of changes, one of the main changes being the return of Craig Walmsley who came out of retirement to help the team out
How ever despite the squad disruption, they bowled and fielded well bowling Carnforth out for 78. Young bowler Chesney Walling taking 4-22. Shane Dixon and Craig Walmsley also contributed.

Leyland v Fleetwood:
Leyland picked up a comfortable 6 wicket victory over Fleetwood, the visitors all out for 100. 2 wickets each from Steven Pallett, Liam Hurt,Will Jacques,Stephen Cartwright and Alex Williams.

Blackpool cruised to a comfortable victory at Preston, batting first, Blackpool made 171-5 off 50, Sam Owen with an unbeaten 92 off 158.
