It was another rain affected afternoon in The Northern Cricket League, as only 4 games in both Division 1 and Division 2 survived the weather
Division 1 Action
St Annes v Leyland:
Both Luis Reece and Brett Pelser hit centuries in Leyland's 233 run victory at St Anne's. The Reece/Pelser combination made a partnership of 233, with Leyland posting an unbelievable total of 311 for 2 off 50 overs.
Luis Reece was unbeaten on 145 off 148, which included 4 fours, and 12 sixes, whilst Brett Pelser made 121 off 110, which included 8 fours and 7 sixes.
In reply Luis Reece put in an all round performance taking 5-39 as St Annes were shot out for 78 in 33 over's. Their were also wickets for David Makinson (2-14), Liam Hurt (2-11) and Henry Thompson (1-2)
Lancaster v Kendal:
Kendal are closing in on the top 4 after another impressive performance as they defeated Lancaster by 60 runs at Lune Road.
Chris Miller's team went into the game without a few key players, meaning that Terry Hunte and Jack White opened in what was a new opening partnership.
Kendal posted a good score of 162 for7 off 49 overs, as Terry Hunte showed his class hitting a top scoring 76 off 108 balls
Lancasters main threats came through Liam Moffat (3-26) and Timyacen Maruma (3-39).
Chris Miller and Jack White were in top form in Lancaster's reply with both taking 5 wickets, as Miller ended with figures of 5-70, whilst White ended with figures of 5-32, as Lancaster were all out for 102
Chorley v Preston:
Chorley survived the weather to defeat Preston by 4 wickets in a low scoring game at Windsor Park.
The hosts bowled Preston out in just 20 overs for a low score of 59, Billy Smith with figures of 4-23, Will Moulton with figures of 3-4 and Chris Harty 2-30.
In reply Preston made a game of it with Lukman Vahaluwala taking 4-29,however Chorley held their nerve to reach 60-6 in 24.4 overs. Jack Benthams top scoring 24 helping them to the points
All the other games were abandoned, Netherfields home game with Darwen started lasting just 11.3 overs with the hosts on 25-2, before the rain came in.
The visitors taking the wickets of Chris Parry for 0 (bowled by Chris Wade) and then Marc Brown for 12 caught by Zac Whalley off the bowling of Niall Burk
Both sides came out to try again but as they were about to re start more rain came in with the game being called off at 4pm

Division 2 Round Up:
Darwen v Netherfield
Despite the floods in Darwen the game at Birch Hall with Netherfield 2nd's went ahead with the pitch passing an early morning pitch inspection.
Netherfield came out on top by 7 wickets, young bowler Liam Dugdale continuing to be a revelation for the 2nds as he takes 5-28 with Darwen all out for 122. Sam Munns the top scorer with 52 off 96 balls.
In reply, Ben Barrow who dropped to the second team opened with an unbeaten 49 -off 47, with Brad Earl posting 37 off 31 as Netherfield reached 125 for 3 in 36.2 overs
