Barrow v Netherfield:
Barrow further extend their lead at the top following a 81 run victory over title rivals Netherfield at Ernest Pass.
The game against the two Cumbrian teams was one of only three matches that were played in Division 1 on what was a miserable rainy afternoon for the rest
The hosts were asked to bat first, making a steady start with contributions from the top middle order as Cumberland County batsman Jon Miles hit a top scoring 48 off 49 balls. Their were also runs from Ryan Brown (25), Vaughn Van Jaarsveld (27), Liam Livingstone (27), and Captain Chris D'leny who ended unbeaten on 37.
Their was a rain delay, midway through the first innings, however they came back out having lost 6 overs
With the game then reduced to 46 overs, Barrow ended on 205-8, with Netherfield Professional Cobus Pienaar taking 5-52
In reply the hosts skittled out Netherfield for 124, thanks to steady bowling from Daryl Wearing and Gary Collins, Wearing returned with figures of 4-41. Collins also impressed with figures of 3-42
For Netherfield Ben Haddrick top scored with an unbeaten 37 off 64, with John Huck making 33 off 48.
Lancaster v Leyland:
At Lune Road, Lancaster pulled off a shock 8 wicket win over Leyland.
New captain ben Simm has overseen two consecutive wins since taking over from Damian Gudgeon as they also welcomed back Jamie Heywood who re signed for them after leaving Kendal
The visitors were all out for a lowly total of 52, with Ben Simm returning figures of 5-25. Liam Moffat also impressed with figures of 4-10.
With a low total to chase the hosts eased to victor losing just 2 wickets, reaching 53
Kendal v Chorley:
At Shap Road, Jack White put in a career best performance of 8-15, as Kendal comprehensively defeated Chorley by 7 wickets.
White who equaled the club record set by Jack Armstrong in 1977, put on a fantastic bowling display as he ripped through a struggling Chorley team that were dispatched for 55 in just 29 overs. Captain Chris Miller also returned figures of 2-24
In reply Kendal opened with Chris Miller and Graham Baker, and despite Miller going for 0, the top scoring 26 off 37 by Paul Dodds as well as the unbeaten 19 off 45 by Graham Baker eased the hosts home in 16.5 overs as they reached 56-3
For the rest of the games in the first division, they were all rained off without any play at all

Netherfield v Barrow
In Division 2, leaders Barrow suffered a surprise set back losing by 69 runs to a resurgent Netherfield second team.
Shane Dixon hit his first century for the hosts as he ended unbeaten on 100 off 163 in Netherfields innings of 176-5. Nathan Dixon also impressed as he ended unbeaten on 28 off 43 balls.
In reply the league leaders battled with captain Ian Allington hitting 33 off 80, however Nathan Chambers stunning spell of 5-33 as well as 14 year old Liam Dugdales 3-42, helped the hosts to victory as Barrow were all out for 107

Carnforth v Darwen:
Carnforth picked up a winning draw with Darwen in an entertaining game at Lodge Quarry, the hosts posting 238 for 6, Darren Moore with 87 off 99. Wayne Tomlinson making 62 off 135. Darwen's Andrew Cook with figures of 4-57.
Darwen reached 186-7 in their reply, Sam Chatburn Jones with 60 off 45, however Darren Nelson impressed with figures of 5-73, for the hosts, as Darwen held on
Blackpool v Morecambe:
Blackpool defeated Morecambe by 8 wickets at Woodhill Lane, James Law with an unbeaten 53 for the hosts with Sam Cockburn hitting 51 as Morecambe made 149-5 in a rain reduced game of 44 overs.
In reply the visitors reached 150-2 in 43.1 overs Nicky Wall with an unbeaten 69
St Annes v Fleetwood:
In the final game, Fleetwood picked up a winning draw at St Annes, the visitors all out for 193, Joe Bell the top scorer with 61, Neil Jackson with 55.
Matt Grindley 3-58, and David Bartholomew 3-28 were St Annes best bowlers. In reply the hosts held on reaching 176-9, Nanthesh Kiruparen with 59 off 55. Alex Ryder 3-50.
