The Furness Building Society Northern Premier Cricket League will have two representatives in the England Schools Cricket Association side at Lord's in September.
Barrow's Liam Livingstone has been selected alongside Darwen's Alex Davies in the prestigious fixture.
Both players recently attended a week's training camp at the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough.

Barrow spokesman Ian Allington has kindly provided more details:
"Whilst at the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughbourgh, Liam was assigned a batting coach,Dave Houghton, the former Zimbabwe Test Captain and Coach, a bowling coach, Terry Jenner (Shane Warne's coach and mentor) and Jack Birkenshaw (the ex Leicestershire and England player)," Allington said."Liam spent three days on coaching, including long sessions with Jenner. That was of real value to him, as to get time with the quality of coaches at this top England levels is invaluable. Both Kevin Shine (Fast Bowling Coach) and Bruce French (wicket keeping) were also in attendance.

"They played three games, one 50 overs game against the Midlands U-17 side and two Twenty20 games, one against the England U-15s and one a mix of both Under 16 & 15 age groups. Liam batted at six in the games, batting once and scoring 33not out, however due to the extremely wet conditions he bowled only 8 overs. "As a result of working with Terry Jenner he was invited back to Loughbourgh next week to continue to work with Jenner on his bowling."
Allington added: "Liam has also been selected for the North region for the ECB Regional festival at Loughbourgh during week commencing 17th August, the North being selected from the Northern regions (Cumbria, Yorkshire, Durham, Lancashire and Cheshire) that will play three games against London and East, South and West and the Midlands. This will give him the opportunity to play competitively against his England team mates.

"It has also been confirmed that Liam has once again been selected for England Schools Cricket Association (ESCA) to play at Lords on the 16th September against an MCC Schools XI. Darwen's Alex Davies has also been selected.
"Everyone at Barrow CC is delighted and proud of Liam's achievements and would also like to congratulate Alex, another fine young cricketer on his selection.
"It is very pleasing to see the Barrow club and the league in general continue to produce and nurture outstanding young players and the achievements of Liam and Alex should hopefully inspire the current and future generations of players."
