LEAGUE SUMMARY OF PLAYING CONDITIONS

DIVISION 1

First innings: A maximum of 50 overs to be bowled in three hours;
Second innings: A minimum of 50 overs to be bowled in three hours.

Changes in playing time worked out at a rate of 3.5 minutes per over.
Normal timing for a match:
First innings: 1-00pm to 4-00pm
Tea (30 minutes): 4-00pm to 4-30pm
Second innings: 4-30pm to 7-30pm

Note: This is actual playing time. Times may be longer due to drinks intervals and extraordinary events.

The final three league games of the season shall begin at 12-30pm, the number to be determined by the fixture secretary.

Variations in overs can occur due to sides being bowled out or making a declaration. E.g - if the side batting first is bowled out or declares after 46 overs of their innings, their opponents have 54 overs to bat.

If, after the umpires have made allowances for drinks intervals or extraordinary delays, a bowling side has not completed the overs in the designated playing time then they will be liable to a charge of having a slow over rate and loss of points.

The points are awarded as follows:

Fifteen points for a win by a side batting first

Fifteen points for a win by a side batting second

Six points to the side batting first in a drawn game.

One point to the side batting second in a drawn game provided they have scored 70% of the target being defeined as 1 more run batting first

Five points to each side in the event of a tie in a game in which the side batting second is out

Five points to each side when a game is declared void.

Bonus points will be awarded in a drawn, tied or games lost as follows:-

Division 1

Bowling bonus points

One point for taking five wickets

Two points for taking seven wickets

Three points for taking nine wickets

Bonus points for Side Batting first

One point for scoring 150 runs

Two points for scoring 175 runs

Three points for scoring 200 runs or more.

Bonus points for Side Batting Second

One point for scoring 80% of 1st innings total

Two points for scoring 85% of 1st innings total

Three points for scoring 90% of 1st innings total

In Division 1 matches no bowler may bowl more than 17 overs whether the game is affected by rain or not.

DIVISION 2

First innings: A maximum of 45 overs to be bowled in two hours and 40 minutes;
Second innings: A minimum of 45 overs to be bowled in two hours and 40 minutes.

Changes in playing time worked out at a rate of 3.5 minutes per over.
Normal timing for a match:
First innings: 1-00pm to 3-42pm
Tea (30 minutes): 3-42pm to 4-12pm
Second innings: 4-12pm to 6-54pm

Note: This is actual playing time. Times may be longer due to drinks intervals and extraordinary events.

Two points for scoring 140 runs

Three points for scoring 160 runs or more.

Bonus points for Side Batting Second

One point for scoring 80% of 1st innings total

Two points for scoring 85% of 1st innings total

Three points for scoring 90% of 1st innings total

In Division 2 matches no bowler may bowl more than 12 overs whether the game is affected by rain or not.
