Niall Burke wrecked Chorley's innings in the derby match at Birch Hall to keep Darwen on line for Finals Day in the Jamie Heywood Twenty20 Cup sponsored by Latham Baxendale.
Darwen are in pole position in South 2 Group having made a blistering start with three wins out of three.

Burke, the tall fast medium bowler who spent the winter in Australia produced a devastating spell of 5/7 to reduce Chorley to 53 all out in reply to Darwen's 135/6.
Before a large and vociferous crowd at Birch Hall on a beautiful sunlit evening Burke bowled Chorley pro Gaurav Dhar, skipper Andy Holdsworth, Ian Oakes and Billy Smith and had Jack Bentham caught by Chris Wade.
Kamran Anwar set the tone by having Chorley opener Stu Naden trapped lbw and Jack Catterall was run out by a superb piece of fielding by John Cordingley, the Darwen skipper.
Neil Cordingley weighed in with the wickets of Will Moulton and last man Jimmy Lee.

Earlier Neil Cordingley hit three fours and three sixes in making 42 off 32 balls and Kamran Anwar hit three late innings sixes in making 24 off only eight balls. Jordan Clarke was unbeaten on 23 with Billy Smith taking 2/29.
