Leyland progressed through to the last sixteen of the ECB National Club Championship with a five wickets win over Liverpool Competition Premier Division side Lytham.
But Furness Building Society Northern Premier League leaders St Annes crashed out of the Barclays Wealth LCB Knockout Cup against Bolton League side Egerton.
In the Cumbria Cup the games involving Carnforth and Barrow were both washed out.
In the Group 3 Final, Leyland bowled Lytham out for just 65 in 27.5 overs with Luis Reece taking five for 16 and skipper David Makinson four for nine before a big crowd at Fox Lane.
Reece struck early claiming the scalps of Nick Knight leg before and former St Annes and Preston all rounder Joe Davies superbly caught by Henry Thompson to leave Lytham 7 for 2.
Fayaz Ughradar and skipper Jimmy Wisniewski mounted a recovery and took the score to 30 when Makinson entered the attack to great effect.
Makinson trapped his opposite number into offering a return catch and had Ughradar caught behind by Matthew Watkinson. He also claimed the wickets of danger-man Guy Roberts, caught by Karl Cross and Richard Openshaw who was caught by Tom Foster.
Reece then came back into the attack for his second spell and polished off the tail taking three more wickets while James Rounding ran out Anthony Mulligan as Lytham lost their last four wickets for just three runs.
Leyland's out-cricket was hugely impressive.

In hot and humid conditions Lytham mounted a stern fight-back and reduced Leyland to 28 for 5.
Michael Rigby claimed the wickets of Peter Cummings and Reece, Karl Cross was caught and bowled by Marcus Sharp while the former Preston pair of Davies and Rhys Williams claimed the wickets of Foster and Andrew Makinson respectively.
But Makinson senior joined 16-year-old Thompson at the crease and the pair batted with great calmness and judgement to edge their side towards the modest target.
Thompson confirmed his growing reputation as a top batting prospect with 20 not out while his skipper finished the game with a flurry of shots just as rain threatened to finish unbeaten on 24.
No sooner had Makinson hit the winning runs than heavy rain came down just before five o'clock.
Leyland will be away to Ormskirk or Kearsley in the last 16.

St Annes crash out at Egerton
St Annes hopes of progressing through to the last eight of the Barclays Wealth LCB Knockout Cup disappeared in another low-scoring game at Blackburn Road.
Egerton posted 137 for 8 in their 45 overs before another large crowd on a hot and sunny afternoon.
Veteran Keith Hornby held the innings together with a patient 32 as St Annes professional Dinuka Hettiarachchi took three for 36 and Michael Baer two for 26.
St Annes without the injured Stephen Twist who pulled a groin muscle during his century innings against Darwen on Saturday, were always struggling after losing the prolific Atiq Uz-Zaman leg before and skipper Andy Kellett run out early in their reply.
Stuart Hornby bowled a superb spell and took four for 17 off nine overs for Egerton to help reduce St Annes to 28 for 6.
Impressive Egerton spinners Tom Fairclough and Will Halton also tied down the visiting batsmen.
St Annes last hopes ended when David Bartholomew was run out for 19 to leave them 45 for 7.
Despite late resistance from Zafir Patel and Nathan Bolus St Annes were bowled out for 80 with nine overs left to lose by 57 runs.

In the Cumbria Cup North Lancashire & South Cumbria League leaders Cleator made 206 for 9 against Carnforth at Lodge Quarry. Carnforth's promising 15-year-old leg-spinner Bradley Hoyle took four wickets but the rain came during the tea interval and washed out any hopes of a resumption.
At Fitz Park Keswick had made 191 for 4 after 35 overs against Barrow when rain stopped play.
Both ties will now be re-played at dates to be confirmed.
