Morecambe fiirst team to qualify
Morecambe became the first team to qualify for Finals Day after a resounding seven wickets win over derby rivals Lancaster at Lune Road.
Tommy Clough's men restricted the hosts to 101 for 8 before a good-sized crowd at Lune Road. Captain Tim Barry, Luke Phillips and Jamie Heywood all got to 20 but were unable to progress against tight bowling and fielding.
Morecambe pro Mandla Mashimbyi took two for 14 and Clough two for 16 with the experienced Graham Lee collecting one for 20.
Ikram Ullah steered Morecambe home with an undefeated 58 off 56 balls including six fours despite 15-year-old Charlie Swarbrick taking the wickets of Charles Boucher and Phil Dennison.
Morecambe, who have a 100pc record after three games, complete their group with a home fixture against Carnforth on Tuesday.
