By Michael Latham

Darwen gain revenge

Neil Cordingley helped steer Darwen home

Darwen are still in contention after defeating Leyland by four wickets at Birch Hall.
Mark Emery steered his side home with one ball to spare, hitting a finely-judged unbeaten 39 while Neil Cordingley made 37.
Stuart Hampson came in at a tense stage and finished nine not out, including a huge six off James Rounding's penultimate over.
Tom Foster had taken three for 22 in a fiery early innings burst for the visitors.

Peter Cummings hits a six for Leyland at Birch Hall

Opener Karl Cross hit an undefeated 48 off 56 balls in Leyland's 140 for 3.
Peter Cummings gave the innings early impetus with 23 off 18 balls and Andrew Makinson supplied late aggression with a well-struck 35 not out off 17 balls including two fours and three huge sixes.

Leyland's Karl Cross is nearly run out by Kamran Anwar

Andrew Makinson's big hitting was in vain for Leyland

Leyland have completed their group games with three wins from four games. Darwen will draw level if they beat Chorley away in their final game next Friday.

The group will then be decided on run rate.
Currently Darwen have scored 295 runs off 47 overs (6.27) while Leyland have scored 493 off 77 (6.40).
